Key job responsibilities

A day in the life
You'll spend your time as the connective tissue between our tax, finance, and technology teams. Your day might include collaborating with data engineers to translate tax compliance requirements into system specifications, partnering with regional tax teams to understand jurisdiction-specific data needs, or working with our accounting and financial operations teams to ensure our data infrastructure supports both compliance and strategic decision-making. You'll move fluidly between technical discussions with product teams and strategic conversations with business stakeholders, helping everyone understand how robust tax data architecture enables better compliance outcomes. Beyond routine responsibilities, you'll identify emerging regulatory trends and proactively shape how our data solutions evolve to meet future requirements.

We are the Global Tax Data organization, and we're reimagining how a company of Amazon's scale manages tax information across the world. Our team brings together tax professionals, data engineers, and financial operations experts with a shared mission: build data solutions that make tax compliance simpler, more accurate, and more efficient. You'll work closely with Global, Regional, and Country Tax teams who rely on our data infrastructure to meet their compliance obligations, as well as with Technology and Financial Operations partners who help us implement these solutions. We're focused on creating scalable, reliable data systems that support Amazon's growth while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance. The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
