Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Procurement team provides services to the businesses that are the backbone for Stripe. Stripe's newly revamped broader Procurement organization consists of Third Party Risk, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Deal Management, Procurement Enablement, AP and T&E.
To facilitate supplier deals with Strategic Sourcing and the business, we created a new Supplier Deal Management (SDM) team in 2022.
This instrumental function builds an efficient supplier contracting process, reduces friction for business leaders, works in partnership with TPRM and Legal to minimize risk, and increases the velocity at which Stripe can engage key suppliers.
SDM's mission is to drive agreements efficiently via appropriate channels, bringing structure to the overall contracting process in partnership with stakeholders while providing a customized and guided user experience and effectively managing value and risk for Stripe.
What you'll do
We're looking for a Supplier Deal Management Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will help us improve the user experience by processing and reviewing supplier contracting requests according to the following steps:

- Partner with the business on commercial negotiations where applicable
- Customer Service—Provide a DRI first, guided experience for all transactions
- Keep a close eye on productivity and communication with DRIs using our Zip procurement tool
The individual will also conduct ad hoc tasks relating to contracts as applicable—such as lookups, research for stakeholders and other procurement teams, and systems reconciliation.
Responsibilities
• Engage internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Sourcing, Third Party Risk, and Stripe Buyers and Business leaders) to prepare and drive contracts efficiently through the various stages of the third-party engagements process
• Partner with internal teams such as Finance, Legal, Security, and Sourcing to improve the collaboration between contracting and other functions, reducing risk for Stripe and improving visibility into our processes

• Be responsible for end-to-end contract lifecycle management
• Ability to understand commercial and legal language commonly used within commercial contracts, demonstrable ease with contractual language, strong attention to detail
• Partner with respective business contacts to solve user inquiries related to contracting and, if needed, troubleshoot as well
• Analyze our processes and instigate changes to help scale our operations and improve user experience
• Analyze internal data to drive operational performance and pull reporting from Agiloft to drive improvements
• Work closely with other Stripe teams to assist with internal and external ad hoc requests
• Be a part of building a brand-new team and operational culture for Stripe
