Overview

The Windows Attack Research & Protection (WARP) team is looking for a learn-it-all engineering leader that will help secure Microsoft products and devices.

The WARP team is responsible for securing the Windows client and server operating systems, used by more than a billion customers every day in businesses and across Azure. This team performs security design reviews, code reviews, and penetration testing on key features of Windows to make sure they meet the highest possible security standards.

In this Principal Security Engineer Manager role, you will manage a team of security engineers tasked with building cutting-edge automation for vulnerability discovery and remediation. The candidate will have hands-on experience with native code (C/C++), building agentic systems and tools, a clear understanding of OS security fundamentals, solid computer science skills, and a passion for keeping Microsoft customers safe.

Penetration Testing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
