Position Responsibilities:
Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions to add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency and sustainability. Initiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits within Amazon-owned or colocation data centers. Act as resident engineer during new construction projects. Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures. Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediations. Provide commissioning support for mechanical system level testing and troubleshooting. Support operational issues through ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, critical equipment, and event support. Interface with internal data center teams (operations, design engineering, environmental). Provide recommendations despite uncertainty/ambiguity. Set priorities and meet deadlines and budget. Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Controls, Construction, Design, Commissioning, Product Managers, Technical Program Managers).

Must have six years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) experience with industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering; and (2) managing engineering projects and consultants. Domestic and/or international travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
