Position Responsibilities:
Manage real estate expansion activities of Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in Brazil, by reviewing existing supply against forecast demand, and identifying new sites for Amazon’s expansion. Responsible for site identification, commercial and legal negotiations of the transaction. Oversee due diligence and entitlements process. Ensure deal feasibility throughout document execution to operations handoff by partnering with internal teams to improve projects efficiency in the region.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Real Estate, or a related field and six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have six years of experience in the following skills: (1) using GIS maps and infrastructure resources for site selection and region strategy development; and (2) experience with transaction and land development experience in Brazil. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: (3) experience with data center industry's standard legal positions for transaction and lease negotiations to lead real estate transactions in Latin America (Negotiation of Letters of Intent, legal terms, Agreements); (4) experience with data center design and operational requirements to provide oversight of due diligence and inform contract negotiations; (5) experience with coordinating the acquisition of basic data center infrastructure requirements (power, fiber, water, transportation networks) in alignment with required capacity and design specifications; and (6) experience with securing high-voltage power capacity and further steps for the real estate development feasibility in LATAM (easements and permits) to power data centers. Must be fluent in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and English. Domestic and/or international travel up to 50% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
