Original job description

Content provided by the employer

AMZL ORBIT PMO is looking for a highly proficient and motivated Program Manager to own and scale our Network of Operations program portfolio, driving OP1/OP2 planning, business review governance, and seasonal readiness across NA Last Mile. The Program Manager will lead the operating rhythm that keeps our Network organization aligned — from calendar management for annual operating plans, to change management governance, to the automation of business review dashboards and compliance verification. This role will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Last Mile Tech, Fleet, Safety, ACES, and Finance to build the frameworks, tools, and standards that make our review cadence predictable, transparent, and increasingly self-service through automation.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and energized by turning manual, recurring processes into scalable systems. They bring strong program management fundamentals, are highly effective communicators to senior stakeholders, and have a bias for using data and automation to eliminate toil. As a member of the ORBIT PMO team, you will help set the standard for how Network of Operations plans, reviews, and improves its business — and you'll do it while championing the Transporter Experience in every program decision.

Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end management of the OP1/OP2 operating plan calendar for Network of Operations, coordinating cross-functional deadlines, milestones, and leadership review checkpoints
- Drive ORBIT Change Management (BEAM) governance — processing change requests, tracking completion rates against target, and ensuring changes are documented and communicated to stakeholders
- Lead Page 0 Automation and PMO Dashboard management, partnering with Business Intelligence Engineers to build and maintain metrics that measure performance across Network of Operations
- Facilitate Weekly and Daily Business Reviews (WBR/DBR), including action item tracking, deep-dive analysis, and driving accountability to 95%+ completion rates within a 48-hour follow-up standard
- Own Business Review Auto-Flagging & Compliance Verification, building repeatable mechanisms that surface risks and exceptions to leadership without manual review
- Maintain the Wiki of Standards and SOPs, ensuring documentation stays current and serves as the single source of truth for Network of Operations program processes
- Identify opportunities to automate manual, recurring PMO processes and partner with engineering/BIE resources to build lasting solutions
- Set and embody strong team culture and standards consistent with Amazon's Leadership Principles

A day in the life
On a typical day, the Program Manager might start by reviewing overnight action item status from the prior day's DBR, flagging any items approaching the 48-hour follow-up threshold and following up directly with owners. Mid-morning could involve a working session with a Business Intelligence Engineer to refine a Page 0 automation rule, followed by an update to the OP1 calendar to reflect a shifted leadership review date. In the afternoon, they might facilitate a WBR, capture action items and owners in real time, and then spend focused time drafting or updating a section of the seasonal readiness document ahead of an upcoming leadership review. Throughout the week, they'll balance recurring operating rhythm work (BEAM change processing, compliance flagging, wiki maintenance) with project-based work tied to seasonal peaks — such as compiling lessons learned after a high volume event or standing up a new automation to reduce manual prep time.

About the team
The ORBIT PMO team sits within NA Last Mile (AMZL) Supply Chain and Strategic Initiatives, and is responsible for the program management backbone that supports Network of Operations, High Volume Events, Supply Chain, Strategic Initiatives/Executive Events, Business Analytics, and Internal AI Integrations across the org. Our team's mission is operational excellence through automation — we are actively working to reduce manual prep time by 60% and cut the OP1 planning cycle from 10 days to 4, while raising governance standards to 95%+ action item completion. We partner daily with Network Operations, Fleet, Safety, ACES, PXT, and Last Mile Tech, and we take pride in building tools and processes (Page 0 automation, compliance auto-flagging, goals waterfall automation) that make Amazon's largest operations organization easier to run and easier to improve.
