The ideal candidate is equally comfortable running a disciplined monthly reporting cadence and designing the next automation that removes hours of manual work from the team. They bring strong program management fundamentals, are curious about applying AI and automation to operational problems, and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders across Finance, Fleet, and Operations. As a member of the ORBIT PMO team, you will directly shape how Last Mile uses AI to scale its business review and reporting processes, while championing the Transporter Experience in every program decision.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the IMR Monthly Check-in cadence with F5 SPOCs, ensuring timely data collection, issue escalation, and follow-through on action items
- Author and distribute the IMR Monthly Flash for L8+ management, synthesizing key metrics and narrative into a concise, decision-ready summary
- Manage the IMR OP1 calendar (including OP1/OP2 calendar management), coordinating milestones and leadership review checkpoints across the annual planning cycle
- Lead IMR Budget Audits and Fleet Management reporting, partnering with WW Ops Finance to ensure financial accuracy and timely reconciliation
- Own xBR SharePoint management, keeping cross-functional business review documentation organized, current, and accessible to stakeholders
- Drive AI Efficiency initiatives, including HVE Playbook Automation and Daily Records Email, to reduce manual prep time during high volume events
- Own the ORBIT OTR Planner Deprecation Plan, managing the transition away from legacy tooling with minimal disruption to end users
- Provide program support for Product Analytics, partnering with technical stakeholders to translate business needs into analytics deliverables
- Lead Page 0 Automation efforts specific to the IMR portfolio, reducing manual dashboard prep and improving reporting consistency
- Identify new opportunities to apply AI and automation to recurring PMO and reporting workflows, building the business case and partnering with engineering resources to implement
- Set and embody strong team culture and standards consistent with Amazon's Leadership Principles
- Drive alignment with leadership across internal AMZL teams and partner business teams including WW Ops Finance, Fleet, and Product Analytics
A day in the life
On a typical day, the Program Manager might start by checking in with an F5 SPOC on outstanding IMR data points ahead of the monthly flash, then pivot to reviewing budget audit findings with WW Ops Finance to confirm fleet spend is tracking to plan. Mid-morning could involve a working session on the OTR Planner deprecation, coordinating a migration step with an affected team and updating the transition timeline. In the afternoon, they might test a new automation script for the HVE Playbook, walk through Page 0 dashboard changes with a Product Analytics partner, or draft the next IMR Monthly Flash for L8+ leadership. Throughout the week, they'll balance the discipline of a recurring financial and reporting cadence with the creativity of scoping and building new AI-driven efficiencies — moving fluidly between spreadsheets, stakeholder syncs, and automation prototyping.
