As a key member of the LRP team, you'll own the 10-year financial roadmap that guides long-term capital prioritization and global expansion. You'll consolidate inputs from 150+ country-level P&Ls across multiple business segments, coordinate across 50+ global stakeholders, and produce planning outputs that directly inform executive decisions on satellite design, market entry sequencing, and multi-billion-dollar capital allocation. Your materials will cascade to Amazon's most senior leadership – including C-suite, Board of Directors, and S-Team.
This is not a typical FP&A role. You will operate at the intersection of finance, engineering, and technology in a Day 1 startup environment within Amazon, with full ownership of planning methodology, financial governance, and executive-level deliverables.
Key job responsibilities
- Own Leo's 10-year global P&L consolidation – design and maintain the architecture across 150+ country, regional, and segment P&Ls; validate and synthesize inputs each cycle into outputs that inform leadership decisions
- Lead the OP planning cycle end-to-end – coordinate across 50+ global stakeholders; design the operating model, timeline, and quality checkpoints
- Build scenario models and NPV/IRR frameworks quantifying long-term financial impact of strategic decisions on satellite design, market entry, and capital allocation
- Own the enterprise planning infrastructure roadmap – partner with FinTech to extend Leo's automated planning tools and integrate LRP with short-range systems
- Architect the reconciliation between FP&A and LRP – segment mapping, FCF methodology alignment, and expense classification conventions
- Design and govern fixed cost allocation methodology – regionalized CPH rates, gateway expense allocations, and controllable country-level profitability
- Serve as approval authority for BizOps Non-HC OpEx purchase orders and month-end close reconciliation, including accrual management and variance analysis
- Own headcount approval and budget governance – approve HC requests against plan and track plan-to-actual variances
- Synthesize complex financial outputs into executive narratives for C-suite audiences
- Drive process automation – build mechanisms that reduce manual effort and enable the team to scale
A day in the life
You start your morning reviewing overnight country-level P&L submissions from global stakeholders – validating assumptions and resolving discrepancies before consolidation deadlines. Mid-morning, you're prioritizing automation features with the FinTech team. After lunch, you're building a scenario analysis quantifying the 10-year impact of a proposed launch cadence change for senior leadership. In the afternoon, you approve operating expense purchase orders, review headcount variances, and close out month-end accruals. You end the day aligning with international partners on cost allocation methodology updates.

Our automated systems reduced manual P&L consolidation by 90%+, enabling a small team to absorb growing complexity.
