The Windows Ecosystem & Customer Engagement (WECE) organization is seeking a Principal Product Manager (Server Ecosystem) to lead the Windows Server partner and customer ecosystem team. This leader will own the strategy, execution, and people leadership for programs that drive Windows Server readiness, (original equipment manufacturer) OEM and silicon partner engagement, ecosystem enablement, and customer signals across the server platform.
This team sits at the intersection of Windows Server engineering and the global server hardware partner ecosystem and our strategic customers. The role requires a leader who can shape organizational direction, transform partner engagement models, drive feature adoption at scale, and influence across engineering, product groups, and external partners to deliver the best experiences for Windows Server customers.
As a member of the WECE leadership team, this person will execute on the server ecosystem enablement strategy, lead platform transformation, and create scalable motions that connect engineering teams with the partner ecosystem to deliver outstanding Windows Server experiences.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Execute and evolve the strategy for Windows Server ecosystem readiness and partner enablement across OEM and silicon partners.
- Set direction for partner enablement platform transformation — evolving from 1:1 custom engagements to scalable, AI-assisted enablement models.
- Identify ecosystem trends, gaps, and opportunities to expand Windows Server adoption and partner success.
- Drive strategic alignment between Windows Server engineering roadmap and partner ecosystem requirements.
Partner Engagement & Enablement
- Lead Voice of Partner feedback loops that connect ecosystem signals to product decisions.
- Build business cases for feature adoption and recruit partners and customers for validation programs.
- Drive partner and customer readiness for major releases.
People & Organizational Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of PMs responsible for server ecosystem programs, partner enablement, and customer engagements.
- Create clarity, generate energy, and deliver success through influence, coaching, and organizational design.
- Build a diverse, inclusive team culture that attracts and retains top talent.
- Model Microsoft values and improve culture beyond the immediate team.
Platform & Service Ownership
- Drive partner support modernization through AI-driven experiences, GitHub communities, and one-to-many technical guidance.

- Drive operational rigor through OKR frameworks and regular business reviews.
Cross-Organizational Influence
- Represent the server ecosystem in leadership reviews and organizational forums.
- Collaborate across Windows Server engineering, Azure, and partner teams to align on readiness criteria and feature priorities.
- Build scalable systems and processes that continue producing results without constant oversight.
- Influence product decisions through ecosystem evidence, partner feedback, and market signals.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering.
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in product/program management or partner enablement in a technology company.
5+ years of people management experience leading PM teams.
5+ years of experience working with hardware OEMs, silicon partners, or enterprise ecosystem programs.
Experience driving cross-organizational programs spanning engineering teams and external partners at scale.
Deep understanding of the Windows Server ecosystem, server hardware lifecycle, and OEM business models.

Partner Enablement Program Mgmt M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
