Role Summary
The Transportation Procurement Manager will lead sourcing and procurement activities for transportation providers across North and Latin America, using data and business intelligence to support capacity and rate decisions. The role partners with Operations, Finance, Legal, Claims, and other stakeholders to improve supplier performance, manage regional sourcing events, and identify transportation cost and optimization opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
Provide ACL leadership with visibility to internal and external factors that can impact ACL's ability to secure transportation capacity at the best rate to support rack built and delivery.
Manage procurement RFP’s, RFQ’s, and RFI’s for inbound and outbound freight in the NALA region.
Support Global RFP by communicating regional needs and assessing transportation providers' capability to meet regional expectations.
Drive cost savings through competitive bidding, commercial negotiations, and rate benchmarking, using tools and industry knowledge that aligns with market competition.
Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders (legal, tax, risk management, business units) to enable global procurement support, including project facilitation, tracking, risk escalation, and best practice sharing.
Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics (delivery, , cost) through scorecards and quarterly business reviews to improve supplier performance and strengthen partnerships.
Conduct supplier spend analysis and reporting by category, region, and supplier to establish spend visibility and identify optimization opportunities.
Benchmark rate information versus historic pricing and versus competition.
Perform supplier spend analysis, including reporting to establish visibility of spend patterns by category, region, and supplier.

Daily check-ins with Operations: alignment on capacity needs and demand forecasts
AI-Powered Data Analysis: utilize AI to trends 18-month historical pricing data on the key lanes. Compare rates and benchmark against market.
Launching Regional RFPs: identify the need to map new lanes, source pricing events using our sourcing tool aligned with LSP strategy.
Engage LSPs on market dynamics, emerging risks, and rate positioning strategy.
Cross-Functional Alignment Meeting: Active participant in meetings with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Claims.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
