NVIDIA is looking for a Commodity Manager to join our Global Commodity Management Group. The ideal candidate will own strategic sourcing and commodity management of Interconnects technologies in the Boards and Systems Supply Chain Group.  This position develops, directs, and influences global sourcing and commodity strategies that deliver significant value in the supply chain through sourcing strategies, supply assurance, component quality, and gross margin improvements.

What you’ll be doing:

The Global Commodity Manager (GCM) holds an important role in NVIDIA's product development process. They are responsible for formulating, communicating, and accomplishing the connector and cable commodity sourcing strategies. The GCM must establish strong internal relationships with NVIDIA cross functional teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Build cross-functional alignment with Hardware, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering to identify commodity sourcing strategies to enable NVIDIA business segment requirements for Boards and System Supply Chain.

  • Develop and manage supplier relationships and conduct supplier business reviews that improve suppliers value, performance, and account investments through aligned roadmaps

  • Negotiate Master Service Agreements, cost reduction strategies, and maintain lead-time, cost systems, and split of business decisions

  • Deliver a supplier risk management system, BOM risk reduction solutions, materials risk mitigation strategies, and maintaining data integrity to ensure supply resiliency

  • Rationalize and reduce the number of components and suppliers to capture synergies and reduce risk due to demand fluctuation

  • Enable early supplier involvement to bring innovation from the industry to deliver innovation on SOL (Speed of Light) project schedules

  • Concentrated effort in NPI to achieve industry leading time-to-market, establishing supplier selection criteria, alternative suppliers, qualify new suppliers, own the RFQ process, and drive supplier selection in partnership with Engineering

  • Provide complex capacity planning to support high volume ramp during NPI stages, informing Engineering and Management of any supply risks to Pre-release schedules, while also developing and enabling production and scale strategies for sustaining product and commodity growth to drive cost, lead time, continuity of supply, and risk mitigation leadership.

What we need to see:

  • BS in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. MBA Preferred.

  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in global commodity management and proven track record in managing connector, cable, and optics Supply Base

  • Deep understanding of interconnector and cable technologies, market, manufacturing process, cost drivers and supply landscape

  • Ability to be innovative with issues related to strategic sourcing, supplier relations, and supplier performance measurement systems

  • Strong analytical skills such as cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection, and supply/demand analysis

  • Ability to incorporate AI tools to enhance supply chain and sourcing analysis, data integrity, and decision making

  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills in supplier management and contract negotiation.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills dealing with supply base executives

  • High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail in a collaborative environment

  • Technical experience to compliment strong program management skills is preferred

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 258,750 USD for Level 4, and 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD for Level 5.
