As Senior Event Marketing Manager at Databricks, you will report to the Director of Corporate Events and collaborate with global teams. You will lead field initiatives and sales enablement for major events like the Data + AI Summit and World Tour. Your focus will be delivering premium field experiences, activating Sales colleagues, refining workflows, and strengthening cross-functional alignment to scale these programs and their business impact.

Impact Statement

Within the first one to two years, success in this role will look like:

  • Flagship events such as Data + AI Summit and World Tour are consistently treated as strategic field growth engines, with clear motions that translate event engagement into high-quality opportunities and healthy pipeline for priority and strategic accounts.
  • Clear targeting frameworks (including quotas, eligibility to attend, and strategic account selection) are defined with sales leadership, so the right customers, partners, and reps are prioritized for each program.
  • Field teams have a simple, repeatable event playbook (pre-, during, and post-event) that is widely adopted, with strong participation in event campaigns and follow-up activities from sales, marketing, and partner teams.
  • Attendee and customer experiences across field-focused programs are cohesive and premium from invitation through post-event follow-up, resulting in stronger relationships with strategic accounts, partners, and executive stakeholders.
  • Event performance is transparently tracked through agreed-upon dashboards and reports built in partnership with analytics and operations, giving leaders clear visibility into attendance, engagement, and downstream revenue impact to inform future investment decisions.
  • Lead flow from events into sales systems is reliable and timely, with well-structured campaigns, lead routing, and MQL definitions that enable BDR/SDR teams to act quickly and consistently on event leads.
  • Incentive structures (such as SPIFFs and recognition programs) are thoughtfully used to drive meaningful field engagement with event motions, without creating unnecessary complexity for sales or operations.
  • Cross-functional programs such as executive forums, partner summits, product announcements, and training and certifications are integrated into a unified field event strategy, so that messaging, targeting, and experiences feel connected for customers and internal teams, and internal stakeholders see the program as well-run with clear goals, communications, and meeting cadences that reduce friction and allow them to focus on driving outcomes.

What we look for

To achieve the outcomes above, you bring:

  • Extensive experience leading complex B2B marketing events or event portfolios end-to-end, including ownership for business impact and not just execution.
  • Proven track record partnering closely with sales and field teams to design event strategies, plays, and enablement that drive measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, agencies, and stakeholders while maintaining clarity on goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Deep comfort working with CRM, marketing, and analytics tools to define targets, interpret event performance, and make data-informed recommendations about where to focus and how to improve.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior leaders, align cross-functional teams, and represent the event strategy and results clearly.
  • A metrics-driven, test-and-learn mindset, continually looking for ways to improve attendee experience, field engagement, and event ROI through experimentation and refinement.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically: setting the overall field event vision and frameworks while also diving into the details needed to ensure world-class execution.
