Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

This is a broad scoped position providing manufacturing engineering ownership of multiple mechanisms and assemblies for the project Kuiper satellite program. You will be supporting new satellite mechanisms early in the production phase, providing critical design for manufacturability input and supporting testing of these assemblies, while developing and implementing the plan to move from design/test into build/production.

Key job responsibilities
- Design space hardware production processes and production lines
- Experience with equipment design, procurement, installation, and qualification
- Work with supply chain partners to manage critical vendors
- Material flow planning and manufacturing process definition with minimal existing definition
- Ability to support space hardware testing, including tooling design and data analysis
- Assembly, Integration, and Test takt time & cost optimization planning
- Design for Manufacturability review and sign off for design release

A day in the life
This role will require a thorough understanding of fabrication processes, system design, and mechanical system assembly and test processes. You will own test campaigns to validate manufacturing processes for robustness, yield, and reliability scenarios. Transitioning into a production environment, you will strive to produce assemblies for the lowest possible cost and highest possible quality. This will include root causing problems that occur for the assembly to keep builds on schedule while also working on efficiency gains through tooling, automation, or design and process changes.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
