Finance Manager, AWS Identity and Cloud Governance Finance

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS Identity & Cloud Governance Finance team. This role will own end-to-end finance support including P&L management and planning, and drive strategic new feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time-sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
- Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance
- Owning the services end to end of revenue creation, and influence business decisions that drive pipeline creation and realization
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations
- Partner with finance, business, and sales teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
