About the team

Stripe is looking for an outstanding transactional lawyer to join our commercial legal team supporting our fast-growing business in EMEA. What you'll do

As a core member of our Commercial Legal team, you'll have the opportunity to build strategic relationships with regional sales leaders. You'll act as a force multiplier, directly influencing the growth of Stripe's business in EMEA. We trust you to exercise independent judgement and encourage you to bring forward ideas for scaling and streamlining our contracting process. You'll have the opportunity to develop your legal knowledge and technical skills working at the frontier of payments and fintech innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the EMEA sales team, leading negotiations and advising on a wide range of commercial and legal issues
  • Be an integral part of the build out of Stripe's commercial legal infrastructure so that we can scale and operate efficiently at pace with Stripe's exponential growth—this work includes drafting and maintaining Stripe's agreements and playbooks, leading and contributing to projects to improve internal processes and operational efficiencies
  • Work with teams across Stripe, including sales, privacy, operations, product, tax, and risk groups
  • Develop and deliver training and other resources to help the Sales team sell our products
  • Be a point of escalation for outside counsel

  • 7+ years of relevant experience as a lawyer in-house or in a technology practice group in a top law firm
