The Strategy & BizOps team drives and executes against the company’s go-to-market strategy. We leverage quantitative and qualitative analysis to create long-term business strategies and help execute on Waymo’s commercial deployment. The team is analytically driven, with a proactive mentality, focused on finding and delivering on high impact projects.
This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Director, Strategy and BizOps.
You will:
- Drive go-to-market / commercial strategy projects with broad scope and significant company impact
- Conduct rigorous qualitative or quantitative analysis and effectively distilling insights (“so what”) from them
- Engage in cross-functional stakeholder management, aligning various perspectives and inputs from technical and commercial functions
- Advance business modeling and analysis such as value driver and scenario analysis responsibilities
- Distill insights and recommendations for leadership
You have:
- Structured problem solving - know how to solve ambiguous problems, up-level and not get lost in details
- Analytical skillset - comfortable with various modes of quantitative analysis (e.g. financial modeling, data analytics, SQL), and capable of presenting up-leveled insights for executive audiences
- Must-haves are financial analysis and modeling
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
- Comfort in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving “startup” work environment
- Background: familiar with project based work, frequent shift of focus and topics, learning new content quickly (typical for consulting or bizops / chief of staff functions in tech companies)
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- At least 5 years experience
We prefer:
- Operational experience in a tech company (e.g., Chief of Staff, BizOps & Strategy, etc.)
- Consulting or finance background (if consulting, with some financial modeling experience) AND experience in a tech company, especially with products that have a physical component (e.g., transportation, supply chain, proptech)
- Experience in relevant industries (e.g., Ride Hailing, Trucking, Delivery)
- Experience with commercialization / go-to-market strategy (e.g., pricing, partner strategy)
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
