We’re seeking a dedicated Information Security Systems Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. The candidate will have experience in end to end ownership of planning. This includes the total systems lifecycle of planning, crafting, implementing, operating and optimizing organization-wide systems which align with United States federal laws.
What you’ll be doing:
Implement features and functionality required by an organization wide system compliant with 800-171 & CMMC requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams to clarify requirements and implement elegant solutions to enable business
Partner with vendors and solution providers
Coordinate with security and compliance teams
Recommend and implement optimizations
Support audit initiatives
Customer and incident service management (as needed)
What we need to See:
An active Secret clearance with ability to attain higher clearances as needed
5+ years of the following experience:
Systems administrator with Azure tenant (hosted via a MSP) and\or other equivalent virtualized environments (Hypervisor concepts, Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, Citrix)
GPO, AppLocker experience and DLP
Performance and log monitoring
Hands-on knowledge of cloud technology solutions which enable business
Familiar with system accreditation framework and system compliance against controls
Advanced skills in data analytics or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting compliance metrics.
Familiar with roles of Contract Security Officer (CSO) or Federal Security Office (FSO); ability to backup primary NPS Security Lead; ability to obtain certification as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, IT, Compliance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
