Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain mechanical assembly process and selective wave soldering process.
- Lead process characterization, DOE, and root cause analysis for yield and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to support NPI and mass production.
- Evaluate and implement new equipment, tooling, and process technologies.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, control plans, and FMEAs.
- Provide technical training and guidance to production and engineering teams.
- Monitor process KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support customer audits and technical reviews.
- Drive for process cpk improvement to meet cpk goal of >1.67 and stretch goal of >2.0.
- Drive for process yield FPY improvement to meet >99.5%.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing process field.
PREFERRED:
- Selective wave soldering processes.
- Experience with automation, vision inspection systems, and process control software.
- Knowledge of SMT, wave soldering, and reflow processes.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
SKILLS:
- Proficient in DOE, SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
