We are looking for an entrepreneurial, dynamic, and customer-obsessed Principal Technical Program Manager to define and drive the joint technical architecture that spans our Stores and Advertising businesses and systems. The ideal candidate will drive complex technical programs across multiple organizations, balancing tactical needs with strategic vision. They will create and execute multi-year roadmaps in collaboration with senior leaders, Product Managers, and Engineers. They will build scalable mechanisms to address both internal engineering and customer needs, using data-driven decision making to set priorities and develop key metrics. They will possess strong communication skills for effective stakeholder management at all levels. They will have proven experience delivering large-scale technical programs, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for innovative customer and developer experiences.
Key job responsibilities
As a part of this job, you will own a large and complex program portfolio and focus on highly ambiguous and impactful problems, including:
- Define the joint architectural strategy to enable product and business objectives;
- Demonstrate broad strategic influence by working across Consumer CEO, Shopping VP, and Advertising SVP/VP organizations;

- Communicate about program direction status simply, precisely and actionably to senior leaders, internal customers, and engineers delivering on the program.
About the team
This role is within a new organization whose mission is to drive the long-term health of the Consumer Stores-Ads business. We build technical capabilities that enable the seamless and scaled integration of delightful customer experiences and paid content. Accordingly, the team uniquely impacts the customer experience and business results. Prospective candidates should have the desire to shape the role, and drive results from the ‘ground floor’ of an impactful and important org and team charter.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
