The Opportunity

Come join the Adobe Cloud Platform & Collaboration (ACPC) experiences engineering team, one of the most dynamic, fun, and agile teams at Adobe! You'll help build our next-gen cloud services and web components that power asset management and collaboration across Adobe's apps. You'llbe contributing to Adobe's vision for building a delightful experience when customers create content using Adobe products.

We work in full-stack squads collaborating with teams around the world, while staying close to our users' workflows, so we build the right thing.

What you'll do

  • Compose scalable, high-performance APIs and GraphQL queries in our Java and Node.js web services, addressing challenges around performance, scalability, consistency, and data durability.

  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Platform teams to ship high-quality, well-aligned experiences in our reusable web components.

  • Work with front-end and back-end engineers to define and refine API contracts.

  • Use modern practices and AI-assisted tooling to keep iteration tight and quality high. Own parts of the system end-to-end, from design through production.

  • Help shape the team's technical direction through design reviews, prototypes, and candid debate.

Who we are

  • We develop services alongside modular front-end components that drive asset and collaboration experiences for millions of Adobe customers through Firefly, Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat.

  • We value different perspectives and abilities. We learn together, treat mistakes as chances to grow, and measure success as a team, not individual heroics.

  • We like to research and use new technologies

  • We don't take ourselves seriously, but we're serious about what we build.

What you need to succeed

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping non-trivial systems to production (JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, or Java preferred).

  • Basic understanding of UI frameworks — layout, rendering, theming, or performance.

  • Passion for solving complex problems while keeping software fast, reliable, and maintainable — you dig into unfamiliar systems and keep asking why until you hit the root cause.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with comfort giving and taking direct feedback.

  • Nice to have:

  • Experimenting with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code).
