About the Job

The Head of Medical Value & Organized Systems Engagement leads Sanofi's medical engagement strategy across payer and health-system stakeholders, overseeing three field-facing teams: National Payer Account Directors, Regional Payer Account Directors, and Medical OHS Account Directors. This role is accountable for positioning Sanofi as a strategic medical partner to payers, PBMs, GPOs, and organized health systems — moving beyond product-focused discussions to help address system- and population-level healthcare challenges and advance care delivery and patient outcomes. This high-visibility role plays a key part in building the team's future-state capabilities and ways of working as part of Integrated Evidence & Patient Outcomes.

Join the engine of Sanofi’s mission — where deep immunoscience meets bold, AI-powered research. In R&D, you’ll drive breakthroughs that could turn the impossible into possible for millions.

About Sanofi

We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Medical Value & Organized Systems Engagement team — National Payer Account Directors, Regional Payer Account Directors, and Medical OHS Account Directors — ensuring a cohesive, compliant One Sanofi approach to payer and health-system engagement.
  • Engage with and direct scientific exchange with national payers, PBMs, and GPOs through the National Payer Account Director team to inform coverage and formulary decisions.
  • Direct engagement with regional and state plans through the Regional Payer Account Director team, tailoring clinical and value evidence to each plan's population.
  • Serve as the enterprise medical lead for assigned health systems through the Medical OHS Account Director team, bringing Sanofi evidence into care pathways, quality improvement, clinical decision support, and research partnerships spanning translational, pre-clinical, and clinical research, and driving care gap initiatives and quality measure alignment in partnership with Population Health.
  • Partner across the Integrated Evidence & Patient Outcomes pillars — Integrated Evidence, Real World Evidence, Population Health, and Data Foundation — so payer and health-system teams can act on real-world evidence, AI/ML-enabled insights, and data built for emerging tools like LLM-based scientific exchange.
  • Help guide real-world evidence, outcomes research, and clinical trial partnership priorities relevant to payer and health-system engagement, in partnership with the Real World Evidence and Medical Evidence teams.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to ensure medical and commercial strategy are fully integrated at the account level, while preserving medical independence and the medical/commercial firewall.
  • Collaborate with Market Access, HEVA, Population Health, TA Medical Units, and Medical Evidence teams to align field engagement and resources with medical and access priorities.
  • Capture and relay insights from payer and health-system stakeholders to inform internal medical, access, and R&D priorities.
  • Define and track impact measures and KPIs that demonstrate medical value to the business and to customers; provide performance oversight through monitoring, reporting, and field engagement.
  • Own field budgets for the Medical Value & Organized Systems Engagement team, ensuring strategic alignment with commercial account counterparts.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and governance processes across the team's activities.
  • Travel as required to support customers, external meetings, trainings, and other internal meetings (up to 50%).

About You

  • Deep understanding of data analytics, real-world evidence, quality improvement, and clinical informatics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to forge effective business partnerships and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in spoken and written business English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional advanced degree in business, HEOR, health policy, or population health.
  • Prior experience in a health system, pharmacy, population health, managed care, or quality leadership role.
  • Experience with EHR-based clinical decision support, AI-driven care pathways, and other digital health and analytics technologies.
