The Challenge
We're seeking an engineer who loves building services for the creative professional and implementing features for the backend stack for Adobe Stock (stock.adobe.com).
Adobe Stock is a service that provides designers and businesses with access to over a billion high-quality, curated, royalty-free photos, vectors, illustrations, templates, audio, and 3D assets, for all their creative projects.
Adobe Stock is built right into Adobe desktop apps to search, browse, and add images to Creative Cloud Libraries, and get instant access to assets across desktop and mobile devices.
What you'll do
You’ll be working as part of a team, crafting innovative new features and maintaining existing ones for Adobe Stock using extraordinary technologies. This team focuses on building highly scalable ingestion and delivery services for the Adobe Stock ecosystem. The ideal candidate will need a keen eye for detail, high code quality, and efficiency standards. You'll also be expected to debug issues across multiple systems, regularly share knowledge with peers, and contribute to architectural design discussions. Keys to your success
- 3+ years of proven experience developing consumer-facing web applications
- B.S. in Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in JavaScript and comfortable with ES6, Express, & Webpack
- Experience building microservices in Node.js, Typescript and/or PHP
- Experience implementing JavaScript techniques, such as modules, async/await, compiling and bundling, and server rendering
- Experience building and maintaining services using GraphQL and familiarity with GraphQL federation
- Experience maintaining highly available, fault-tolerant, and distributed services, including familiarity with technologies and architectures like microservices, managed services, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, New Relic, and Splunk
- Knowledge of how to apply computer science principles to real-world problems, including algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and data flow and storage
- Strong familiarity with functional and object-oriented programming
- Experience with quality-driven development and tools, writing your own unit tests and integration tests
- Experience with Agile development processes
- Love to learn new things, work hard, and have fun

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $114,100 -- $214,950 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.In California, the pay range for this position is $148,500 - $214,950 In Washington, the pay range for this position is $135,100 - $195,550
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
