We’re looking for architects with 5+ years of relevant experience to join our Enterprise Architecture team within Software & Platform Engineering, part of Digital Core. Your strengths might lie in Software Architecture, Application Architecture, Solution Architecture, Integration Architecture or Enterprise Architecture or other architecture related fields. You don’t need to cover every discipline—we value depth in your area, curiosity about others and the ability to connect the dots.

Our clients work across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments, with Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud as our key public-cloud platforms. You’ll help them choose the right approach for their needs—not simply the newest technology—and balance innovation with the realities of existing systems, security, cost and delivery.

What you’ll do

• Translate business ambitions into clear architecture choices, actionable designs and practical roadmaps.

• Shape solutions across applications, software, integration and platforms, connecting individual delivery decisions to the wider enterprise landscape.

• Design modern architectures spanning on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments, including cloud-native solutions and the modernisation of existing systems.

• Explore approaches such as APIs, event-driven systems, distributed applications, managed services and containers where they deliver real value.

• Build security, resilience, performance, observability, maintainability and cost awareness into designs from the start.

• Facilitate workshops, make trade-offs understandable and bring business stakeholders, engineering teams and platform specialists together around a shared direction.

• Stay connected to delivery: validate ideas through prototypes, support implementation and evolve designs as teams learn.

• Contribute to architecture principles and technical governance that enable teams rather than slow them down.

• Share your knowledge, learn from colleagues and help our architecture community grow.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in technical architecture, with a solid foundation in software engineering, application delivery, integration or platforms.

• Depth in one or more of Software, Application, Solution, Integration or Enterprise Architecture, and an interest in how these disciplines fit together.

• Experience taking architecture from requirements and design into implementation, with an understanding of how systems are deployed, operated and evolved.

• Experience with on-premises, cloud or hybrid environments and an understanding of their trade-offs. Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud is valuable; expertise across all three is not required.

• The ability to explain technical decisions clearly, listen to different perspectives and connect architecture to business outcomes.

• A collaborative approach, sound technical judgement and curiosity about better ways to solve problems.

• A relevant academic degree or equivalent professional experience.
