Manager, Product Management, Alaric

Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry.

About the Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Manager of Product Management to build the developer engagement platform, diagnostic feedback tools, and automated change control workflows for the Alaric Ecosystem.

This role focuses on the critical human-in-the-loop experience when tests fail. When Alaric identifies an incompatibility or regression, this product manager owns how app and agent owners are alerted and empowered to act. You will build the self-service tooling that makes it effortless for application teams to inspect failure diagnostics, rerun targeted test suites, and re-validate their changes. Additionally, you will turn manual change governance policies into automated, software-driven release approval guardrails.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developer Feedback & Diagnostic Tooling: Architect the product strategy for test failure notifications and diagnostic reporting. Build developer-friendly interfaces and integrations (Slack, Teams, Jira, webhooks) that deliver rich failure context directly to the responsible app/agent owners.
  • Self-Service Re-Validation Experience: Build standardized tools that allow application owners to quickly react to test failures. Create easy-to-use self-service capabilities (one-click reruns, targeted test suite triggers, local/on-demand validation) so owners can rapidly verify their fixes without waiting on full platform cycles.
  • Continuous & "Always-On" Monitoring Feedback: Own the developer workflow for background, synthetic, and "always-on" test failures. Ensure non-blocking or asynchronous test failures are intelligently routed, tracked, and prioritized for application teams before they turn into major productivity blockers.
  • Automate Change Governance & Release Gating: Operationalize Capital One's endpoint change control process. Replace manual approval bottlenecks with software-driven release gates that automatically track test execution, verify that failing tests have been re-run and passed, and grant release approvals based on data-driven risk scores.
  • DevEx & Governance Analytics: Define and track key usability and operational metrics such as Time-to-Acknowledge (TTA), re-test velocity, change gate throughput, and developer satisfaction (NPS) with the feedback tools.

  • Integrated Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks
  • Transformational Leadership - Leads cross functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:

OR
