ROLE SUMMARY

Digital impacts everything we do. Pfizer’s end-to-end supply chain digital strategy is focused on delivering leading-edge decision support and visibility solutions to enable improved planning and risk management.  The Digital Supply & Business Development Team is looking for a Senior Manager, Digital Product Owner to own the vision, roadmap and agile delivery of digital solutions to achieve our strategic goals and business objectives.

The Senior Manager, Digital Product Owner will drive the digital vision, road mapping, and delivery of launch solutions for >300 users world-wide. This includes a growing portfolio of AI-enabled products, such as AI agents, chatbots and predictive monitoring, built on trusted enterprise data.  This role will partner with business leaders to envision the product/solution’s business strategy, ensure that the product roadmap delivers the agreed vision and metrics and is aligned with the overall enterprise strategy, and manage the product lifecycle following an agile methodology. The role leads a team of product owners and product analysts together with contract delivery resources and is accountable for their performance and delivery.

As an innovation thought partner to Digital and business colleagues, this role will be counted on to identify opportunities to use established and emerging digital capabilities, including generative and agentic AI, to unlock value through converging supply chain knowledge with future technologies.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Own the product vision, multi year roadmap, and success metrics, for the applications being delivered

  • Own the AI roadmap for the launch portfolio: identify, prioritize and deliver AI use cases (agents, chatbots, monitoring and forecasting), and ensure agents are designed to work together rather than overlap
  • Work with cross-functional teams of engineers and designers to deliver user-centric products
  • Set priorities and make day-to-day trade-off decisions with the product owners, resolving competing demands across the launch portfolio
  • Exercise a strong decision-making mandate across cross-functional teams as the accountable decision-maker for the launch product portfolio
  • Lead the agile practice for the digital product portfolio, including directing scrum masters, business analysts, systems analysts, and AI engineers to drive continuous improvement in delivery predictability, quality and throughput, and promote practical use of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, AI prototyping tools) in backlog, design and documentation work
  • Direct the full product lifecycle from opportunity definition through design, release and adoption, ensuring solutions meet user needs and realize the committed business value
  • Partner with data owners and enterprise data teams to ensure data ownership, definitions and master data governance are in place before AI capabilities are introduced
  • Define and track AI value metrics (e.g., adoption, planning time saved, manual effort reduced) and report outcomes to senior leadership
  • Manage AI vendors, partners and contract resources, including build-vs-buy decisions, resource estimates and budget planning
  • Ensure launch solutions, including AI-enabled solutions, are delivered and sustained in compliance with Pfizer quality, data-integrity and GxP validation requirements (where applicable) and responsible-AI governance standards, partnering with Compliance & Risk Management and Enterprise Architecture
  • Serve as innovation thought partner to PGS and Digital leadership — identifying where emerging digital capabilities can unlock supply chain value, and building the business case through demos, prototypes and presentations to senior leadership to secure endorsement and funding

  • Experience successfully creating and executing against product visions, strategies, and roadmaps that achieve goals and outcomes

  • A curious and highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively across cross-functional teams and can independently drive progress toward completion with proper planning and management
