Summary:
As a Test Automation Engineer, a typical day involves applying quality processes and utilizing automation tools and methodologies to enhance testing products and solutions. The role includes overseeing the entire quality engineering function with a strong emphasis on automation, aiming to improve control, accuracy, and integrity throughout the testing lifecycle. This position requires continuous engagement with evolving testing strategies to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability, while fostering an environment of innovation and efficiency within the team.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements that enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and support junior team members to develop their skills and contribute effectively to project goals.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment of testing objectives with overall project requirements.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Playwright with TypeScript and JavaScript. Proficient in programming or scripting language such as Typescript, JavaScript.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Investment Banking, FIX Protocol and VeriFix, Background and experience of financial/ trading platforms and knowledge of financial markets.
- Experience to utilize AI tools such as KIRO / Amazon Q, Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT or equivalent to design, generate, and optimize automation test scripts.
- Expertise in developing, scripting and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Web Driver IO.
- Knowledge of designing and executing performance, load, stress, and endurance tests using tools such as K6 or equivalent.
- Knowledge of designing and executing performance, load, stress, and endurance tests using tools such as K6 or equivalent.
- Skilled in using CI/CD tooling such as GitLab, Team City, Jenkins.
- Experience of using BDD testing frameworks such as Cucumber and performance/ NFR testing tool J-Meter or similar.
- Understanding of trade life cycle and knowledge of broker/ trader platforms.
- Knowledgeable in Jira or similar issue management system.
- Adept at working in Agile/ Agile SAFe engineering environments, exhibiting strong communication skills including collaboration with local and remote team members.
- Appreciation of the full SDLC and driving the importance of quality throughout this process.
- Pro-actively take initiative to collaborate and improve the teams quality and performance.
- Delivery-focused and pragmatic, capable of working on multiple tasks simultaneously and managing deadlines.
- Critically evaluate and offer challenge to design, approach or tooling to achieve the best outcome for the project.
- Experience of reporting on testing progress and strategy, providing interpretation and insight to inform management to take decisions.
- Desired: Broad knowledge of financial markets and Equity products
- Relevant Testing Qualifications such as ISTQB, Agile Software Testing Courses
- Knowledge of FIX protocol and ability to handle FIX interactions.

- In-depth knowledge of AWS services.
- Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
- Experience with TDD, BDD or similar approaches to specifying requirements and design.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 6 years of experience in Playwright with TypeScript and JavaScript.
- This position is based at our Pune Magarpatta office and two days a week.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
