We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a seasoned marketing technology and operations leader who is the architect of our entire marketing operating model: an end-to-end thinker and proven operator with genuine technical depth, who understands not just what a modern marketing engine should do, but how to build, govern, and run one.   Every brand campaign, every client experience, every piece of content we distribute, and every dollar we invest ultimately runs through the operating model this leader helps design and drive.

This leader deeply understands the operations and controls a large, regulated financial institution that needs to run an agile, efficient digital ecosystem, one capable of powering the client experiences and engagements that our marketing teams create, and translating them into measurable business outcomes.

We need a genuine visionary, someone who can see three years ahead and articulate where marketing technology, data, and operations need to go. But vision alone will not succeed in this role. Just as important, this is a proven operator: clear-minded, disciplined, and able to translate a mission into a plan, a plan into a roadmap, and a roadmap into results their team can actually deliver, quarter after quarter. It’s also important that they are adaptive, they know how to prioritize, sequence and do more with less: finding leverage in process, technology, and talent.

Why This Role Matters:

As a core member of the Marketing Leadership Team, this leader will oversee marketing and web operations, business management, vendor and supplier management, marketing technology, data and AI strategy, and operational governance. They will build and evolve the systems, processes, and capabilities that let marketing plan, execute, measure, and optimize performance, while ensuring efficient operations, strong controls, and demonstrable business impact. This leader will drive marketing's transformation through the disciplined application of technology, automation, AI, data, and operational excellence, creating a modern, scalable organization that accelerates growth, improves productivity, and strengthens marketing's contribution to the firm's outcomes.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

Operating Model Architecture & Enterprise Roadmap

  • Serve as the architect and overseer of Marketing's end-to-end operating model, connecting strategy, technology, data, process, and people into one coherent, efficient system.
  • Define the enterprise roadmap for marketing maturity, working closely with marketing partners to ensure technology and operations investments are sequenced against real business priority.
  • Bring clear-minded, disciplined program management to marketing transformation, translating ambitious mission statements into concrete plans, milestones, and accountable owners.
  • Continuously identify where the organization can do more with less, through smarter process design, better tooling, and more effective use of AI, rather than simply adding cost.

Marketing Technology & AI

  • Define and lead the firm's global marketing technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Oversee the marketing technology ecosystem, ensuring platforms, tools, and workflows are integrated, scalable, and aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead the strategy, governance, and adoption of AI across Marketing, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, execution, personalization, and business impact.
  • Drive marketing transformation through automation, emerging technologies, and scalable operating models that modernize how Marketing works.

Data Architecture & Measurement Capabilities

  • Own marketing's data architecture and measurement infrastructure, ensuring the underlying systems, pipelines, and platforms are built to support attribution, performance measurement, and reporting at enterprise scale.
  • Establish enterprise KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that connect marketing activity to business outcomes, in close partnership with the Analytics and Insights team sitting under the Head of Digital Marketing Strategy and Channels.
  • Ensure the data foundation is reliable, well-governed, and scalable enough to power actionable insight, even as the analysis and interpretation of that data is led elsewhere in Marketing.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, experimentation, and data-driven decision making across the function.

Web Operations & Digital Publishing

  • Own web operations and digital publishing infrastructure across our digital properties, ensuring reliable, scalable, and efficient publishing capabilities that support the marketers.
  • Establish the operational standards, workflows, and platforms that govern how content is built, published, maintained, and retired across our digital ecosystem.
  • Ensure web operations and publishing capabilities are engineered for agility and speed, without compromising the controls a large financial institution requires.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Digital Marketing Strategy and Channels to align publishing infrastructure with website strategy and digital experience priorities.

Campaign Enablement & Marketing Infrastructure

  • Oversee marketing automation, CRM integration, workflow management, and campaign operations capabilities.
  • Ensure the infrastructure required to support audience engagement, lead management, measurement, and reporting is effective, scalable, and built for an agile digital ecosystem.
  • Partner across marketing partners to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain the operational foundation, and the controls that sit alongside it, that enable Marketing to execute consistently and efficiently across the enterprise.

Marketing Operations

  • Lead Marketing's business operations, including budget planning, forecasting, resource allocation, financial management, and organizational performance reporting.
  • Oversee vendor and supplier strategy, procurement, contract governance, and third-party partnerships to maximize value, efficiency, and business impact.
  • Establish enterprise operating rhythms, planning processes, governance frameworks, and performance management practices that enable effective execution at scale.
  • Drive operational excellence across Marketing, including risk management, compliance, controls, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness.

Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing global team; champion a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CMO and Marketing Leadership Team on operational effectiveness, technology investments, data strategy, and organizational performance.
  • Drive alignment across people, processes, technology, and data to support the firm's strategic priorities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology, digital transformation, analytics, business management, or related disciplines, with deep, hands-on technical expertise, not solely oversight experience.
  • Significant experience leading enterprise-scale marketing operations, technology, and measurement functions within a global, ideally regulated, organization.
  • Deep expertise in marketing technology, automation, analytics, data governance, attribution, reporting, and operational excellence.
  • A demonstrated ability to operate as both a visionary and a disciplined operator: comfortable setting a multi-year direction and equally comfortable running the quarterly mechanics that get the organization there.
  • Experience leading complex transformation initiatives involving technology, process redesign, and organizational change, with a track record of finding efficiency and doing more with constrained resources.
  • Demonstrated success implementing AI-enabled capabilities and scalable operating models.
  • Strong understanding of the operational and regulatory controls required to run an agile, efficient marketing ecosystem within a large financial institution.
  • Strong financial, operational, and analytical acumen with experience managing budgets, vendors, and business operations.
  • Proven ability to lead global teams and influence senior stakeholders.
