Microsoft is on a mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset, inspiring excellence, and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their top efforts each day.
The Account Team Unit (ATU) Sales Enablement team accelerates revenue growth and field execution by equipping enterprise sellers with the processes, tools, experiences, and readiness needed to execute Microsoft’s strategic priorities.
Our goal is to make execution simpler, more efficient, and more impactful by translating business priorities into structured, field-ready programs that help sellers and managers take action.
Role
The ATU Program Execution Go-To-Market Manager (GTMM) provides independent execution capacity across the ATU Sales Enablement portfolio, partnering with Program Leads to turn program strategy and requirements into field-ready execution.
In this role, you will independently own and drive defined workstreams across multiple programs, spanning areas such as process, tooling, communications, readiness, launch, field activation, and ongoing operations.
You will take direction on overall program strategy and outcomes, then determine how to structure and deliver the work needed to achieve them. Success requires a hands-on executor who can bring structure to ambiguity, mobilize stakeholders, manage dependencies, solve problems, and drive work through completion with limited day-to-day oversight.
Responsibilities
Workstream Planning & Execution
- Independently own and execute defined program workstreams, translating program direction into clear plans, milestones, deliverables, owners, and actions.
- Establish and manage execution rhythms that ensure actions, decisions, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder commitments are tracked through completion.
- Partner with Program Leads to define success criteria and execution measures for assigned workstreams and use those measures to monitor progress and identify areas requiring intervention.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and contributors to move deliverables from planning through completion.
- Proactively identify execution barriers, risks, and dependencies and resolve issues or escalate decisions when needed.
- Build repeatable processes and execution mechanisms that improve consistency and scale.
Field Readiness, Launch & Adoption
- Develop and coordinate field-facing communications, readiness, training, tools, and activation activities in support of program objectives.
- Translate complex business and program requirements into simple, actionable guidance for sellers and managers.
- Manage execution of program launches, coordinating content, communications, readiness, tooling, stakeholders, and support mechanisms.
- Help ensure field audiences understand what is changing, why it matters, what action is required, and where to go for support.
- Drive reinforcement and follow-through activities that help move programs from launch to sustained execution and adoption.
Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Use available data, stakeholder input, and field feedback to assess execution effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate assigned workstreams to identify execution gaps, field needs, and potential solutions, bringing recommendations to Program Leads and acting independently within agreed direction.
- Partner with Program Leads to implement improvements to processes, tools, readiness, communications, and field experiences.
- Identify opportunities to simplify execution, reuse successful approaches, and reduce duplication across programs.
Collaboration & Alignment
- Partner closely with Program Leads, who maintain overall program strategy and accountability, to translate priorities into coordinated execution.
- Work independently across sales, marketing, customer success, operations, partner, and other cross-functional teams to deliver assigned workstreams.
- Build strong working relationships that enable decisions to be made, issues to be resolved, and work to move forward.
- Maintain clear visibility into execution status, risks, dependencies, decisions, measures, and next actions.
- Connect execution across programs to help create a simpler and more coordinated experience for the field.
