Our website delivers data, research, and tools that help individual investors achieve their investing goals. In this role, you will lead a team of six full‑stack developers responsible for building and maintaining the website, while you personally act as the data and analytics expert, responsible for measurement, insight, and decision support.

This is a senior, hybrid role requiring strong full‑stack engineering capability to lead effectively, combined with deep analytics expertise to remain hands‑on with data, queries, and dashboards.

What You’ll Be Doing

Engineering Leadership (Website Development)

  • Lead and manage a team of six full‑stack developers responsible for the website
  • Set technical direction and standards across frontend and backend development
  • Own the architecture, performance, reliability, and security of the website platform
  • Review code, guide design decisions, and ensure engineering best practices are followed
  • Partner with Product and UX to translate roadmap requirements into high‑quality delivery

Hands‑On Analytics & Data Ownership (Individual Contributor)

  • Act as the primary analytics and data expert for the website
  • Own and maintain Google Analytics (GA4) configuration, tracking strategy, and core reporting
  • Write complex SQL queries (e.g. in Athena) against clickstream and event‑level data
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines to ingest, transform, and model analytics data from multiple sources into reliable, analysis‑ready datasets
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards used by Marketing, Product, and Leadership
  • Analyse user behaviour, funnels, and campaign performance to generate actionable insights

Strategy, Roadmap & Decision Support

  • Own the website and analytics roadmap, balancing new features, technical health, and insight needs
  • Ensure analytics is built into features by design, not added retroactively
  • Partner closely with Marketing to measure campaign effectiveness and customer journeys
  • Use data to inform prioritisation, product decisions, and investment trade‑offs

Quality, Governance & Reliability

  • Ensure high standards of data quality, tracking accuracy, and reporting consistency
  • Establish guardrails around metrics definitions and dashboards
  • Champion performance, observability, and operational excellence across the website

People Leadership & Culture

  • Coach, mentor, and develop engineers with varying experience levels
  • Create clarity on goals, expectations, and career growth
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management

Engineering Skills

  • Strong full‑stack development background, with the ability to:
    • Review and guide frontend and backend code
    • Make sound architectural decisions
    • Mentor engineers across the stack
  • Experience with modern web architectures and cloud‑based platforms (AWS preferred)

Analytics & Data Expertise

  • Deep, hands‑on experience with Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Strong SQL skills, particularly with large clickstream or event datasets (Athena or similar)
  • Ability to connect analytics outputs directly to business and product decisions

Leadership & Communication

  • Credible with senior engineers and business stakeholders
  • Comfortable switching between strategic thinking and hands‑on execution
  • Clear communicator who can explain both technical and data concepts simply
  • Strong judgment and ability to balance competing priorities

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing analytics‑friendly event schemas
  • Familiarity with experimentation, attribution, or customer funnel analysis
  • Understanding of privacy, consent, and analytics governance

Why This Role Is Unique

  • Lead a full‑stack engineering team while remaining a hands‑on data leader
