As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions to ensure high-quality software delivery. The role focuses on building robust test automation frameworks using Selenium with Java and validating application functionality through strong testing practices. The candidate is expected to work independently, contribute to automation strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while leveraging Agile methodologies and modern tools to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Selenium with Java.
Develop and enhance automation frameworks to improve reusability and scalability.
Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing of applications.
Analyse requirements and identify automation feasibility.
Understand and follow SDLC and STLC processes throughout the testing lifecycle.
Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts.
Manage and track defects using standard defect tracking tools.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve productivity in testing processes.

Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Strong automation knowledge in Selenium with Java.
Strong understanding of software testing concepts, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
Good knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks (e.g., POM, Hybrid frameworks).
Knowledge of defect lifecycle and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA/octane).
Basic knowledge of Playwright is an added advantage.
Familiarity with ALM Octane or similar test management tools is a plus.
Experience working in Agile methodology.
Ability to work independently and handle tasks end-to-end.
Knowledge on using AI tools (Copilot) for improving testing efficiency.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:
The candidate should have relevant experience in QA Automation Testing preferably 5+y experience.
A 15 years full time education is required.
