The Company

PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.

We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards.  Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day.  We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

Job Summary:

You don't just manage programs — you move mountains. At PayPal, you'll own how lifecycle marketing actually gets built and delivered in one of fintech's most ambitious marketing modernization efforts: migrating legacy platforms, standing up our next-generation lifecycle platform, and rebuilding the way journeys and content move from idea to customer. You'll orchestrate customer journeys across email, push, and in-app channels that reach hundreds of millions of consumers and merchants globally, and you'll make the process behind them faster, simpler, and repeatable. This is a high-visibility seat — the journeys you launch and the operating model you build will be showcased to the CMO and executive leadership as the face of the transformation. If you want your work felt by millions — this is your moment.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex marketing projects and initiatives to drive business growth
  • Resolve complex marketing problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Determine methods and procedures for new marketing assignments
  • Implement global process improvements to enhance marketing effectiveness
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing strategies with business goals
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise in marketing best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

About the Team:

You'll join the Lifecycle Transformation team, which carries a CMO-level mandate to modernize how PayPal plans, builds, and measures lifecycle marketing. You'll be one of two Senior Managers leading the Lifecycle Marketing Platform (LCMP) transformation, owning the "Create · Deliver" side of the program, and partnering closely with your counterpart who leads data, decisioning, and measurement. You'll work hand-in-hand with the Transformation Office, AI & Automation, MarTech, Brand and Creative, and partners including Adobe and Publicis Sapient.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead the journey, audience, and content delivery workstream of the LCMP transformation, from journey design and platform migration through scaled adoption across the business.
  • Own the lifecycle journey portfolio and orchestration strategy across email, push, and in-app, spanning onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, and win-back.
  • Lead the Braze platform build-out and migration from legacy platforms, including journey rationalization, template and component libraries, and channel cutover sequencing.
  • Drive audience activation in partnership with the Data, Decisioning & Measurement lead, turning audiences and decisions into live, measurable journeys.
  • Redesign content production and delivery, including modular content, creative workflow, approvals and compliance review, and cycle-time reduction from brief to launch.
  • Partner with the AI, Orchestration & Process lead to embed future-state process standards, the Integrated Workflow Manager, and AI and automation into campaign build, QA, and launch.
  • Work with embedded process partners across B2B, Consumer, Venmo, Creative, and Content to drive adoption of standard ways of working, and track progress on the adoption scorecard.
  • Define and manage operational KPIs and SLAs, including cycle time, campaign volume, quality, and error rates, and run a continuous-improvement backlog so every process keeps getting faster.
  • Manage systems integrators and agency partners (e.g., Adobe, Publicis Sapient) and maintain a close working partnership with MarTech IT.
  • Prepare executive reports and roadmap updates, and contribute delivery capacity and sequencing input to annual planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in lifecycle or CRM marketing, marketing operations, or marketing technology, with at least 3 years in a leadership or people management capacity.
  • Deep hands-on experience with lifecycle marketing platforms such as Braze, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Acoustic, including migration planning and platform rationalization across complex enterprise environments.
  • Track record designing, launching, and scaling multi-channel customer journeys (email, push, in-app, SMS) at enterprise scale.
  • Experience defining and evolving marketing operating models, including workflow design, creative production processes, content supply chain, and CMS/DAM platforms (e.g., AEM).
  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI and automation into campaign execution, such as content generation, build automation, and QA.
  • Experience leading large-scale MarTech transformation programs from business case through execution, managing budgets in the $10M+ range and coordinating systems integrators or consulting partners (e.g., Publicis Sapient, Deloitte, Accenture).
  • Track record of driving measurable efficiency gains — whether through cycle time reduction, campaign volume scaling, or headcount optimization — while maintaining or improving quality and compliance.
  • Experience leading change management and adoption across federated, multi-business-unit teams.
  • Proven ability to build compelling executive narratives and present transformation roadmaps to SVP/C-suite audiences, translating delivery and technology decisions into business outcomes.
  • Comfortable operating in matrixed organizations where influence without direct authority is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or another regulated industry with formal compliance review is a strong plus.
  • Background working with agile delivery methodologies and familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Asana, Workfront, or similar tools for program management is expected.
