Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!

We're looking for a senior lawyer with strong experience advising on commercial and technology matters to join our legal team. You'll be working in an exciting and constantly evolving environment while establishing relationships cross-functionally with our sales, strategic partnerships, and other teams to close contracts with our customers and partners.

This is a full time role that can be held from our London hub or remotely in the United Kingdom.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Lead on complex, strategic deals, drafting and negotiating customer-facing agreements: software services agreements, data processing agreements, regulatory annexes, security documents and privacy policies
  • Draft and negotiate distribution, reseller, professional services and referral agreements
  • Act as a strategic adviser to key business partners on complex legal issues, working closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Revenue Recognition and other stakeholders
  • Track emerging legal and regulatory developments, including the EU AI Act, and develop policy and risk positions where needed
  • Work with Revenue Recognition, Security, Sales Operations and other teams so our agreements are consistent with Figma's policies and processes
  • Mentor colleagues, including junior lawyers working with you on deals, and help improve our legal resources and know-how

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Are a UK-qualified solicitor, at least 6 years PQE with relevant experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial and technology agreements (for example enterprise sales agreements, data processing agreements and SaaS agreements) and partnership agreements (for example service partner, reseller and referral agreements)
  • Build relationships and credibility easily, and enjoy partnering with others
  • Work hard and stay comfortable in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment, whether the project is large or small
  • Understand AI, privacy and other regulatory issues in commercial tech transactions
  • Have experience using and advising on artificial intelligence

While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • Additional language skills, especially French and German
  • A privacy qualification, such as CIPP/E
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
