Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components. The role requires continuous collaboration with different teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient applications. Throughout the day, the engineer focuses on creating high-quality code, integrating new features, and refining existing functionalities to meet specific organizational goals while maintaining system performance and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement best practices for software development and deployment.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure alignment of project goals and timely delivery.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Applications DBA.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Experience in managing large-scale database environments and ensuring high availability.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and optimize system performance.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting to streamline database administration tasks.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Oracle Applications DBA.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
