Summary

We're looking for an engineer to help us shape the future direction of Safari and web browsing on our platforms. Together, we’ll build on the industry-leading WebKit engine and Apple's frameworks to deliver a fluid browsing experience and powerful, easy-to-use features. Your vision and impact will extend beyond Safari, as you help move Apple's iOS platform forward!

Description

In this role, you will help us craft new and innovative Safari features and take existing features to the next level. You’ll be involved from beginning to end—brainstorming, prototyping, coding, debugging, shipping, and addressing customer feedback. You will collaborate with the WebKit team, iOS platform teams, and Apple’s Human Interface group. We want you to be imaginative, highly motivated, and care deeply about craft and quality.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related field, preferred, or equivalent experience
Experience mentoring other engineers
Expertise in writing fast, efficient software in Swift, Objective-C, or a C-family programming language
Knowledge of UIKit and Swift design patterns
Expertise in Xcode developer tools, Instruments, and clang

Preferred Qualifications

Experience mentoring other engineers and communicating technical ideas to a variety to audiences
Creativity and enthusiasm for crafting great user experiences, innovative privacy features, and robust security
Knowledge of advanced application architectures
Knowledge of web browsers and web application architectures
Experience designing APIs for frameworks used by a wide variety of developers

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
