What our team offers
The Field & Partner Platform & Strategy team turns Microsoft's Copilot Marketing priorities into durable, executable go-to-market systems. We connect product marketing, engineering, commerce, finance, sales, partner, and marketing teams to build the operating model, launch systems, data signals, and executive rhythms that help Microsoft land major product and business transitions with clarity and scale.
In this Director, Copilot Product Marketing, you will lead Launch Operations, the cross-ABS function that makes sure our launches are ready to land, and are landing, with the field and partners. The Copilot Marketing and AI Business Process teams now launch innovation almost every month, often paired with pricing, billing, and offer changes. Launch Ops turns product and commercial decisions, together with customer conversation strategy, into one readiness plan, one landing package for the field and partners, and a tight feedback loop that brings market, field, and partner insights back to inform growth opportunities, investment priorities, and the product roadmap.
The immediate priority is to scale a launch motion that already works into a predictable monthly engine, with major moments such as Microsoft Ignite as the proving ground. You will lead through influence, partnering closely with Product Marketing, customer conversation leads, Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS), partner teams, business planning, finance, and vendor partners to move every launch from decision to field action clearly, measurably, and on time.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Connect the work into one system and one story. Lead v-teams to bring launch operations, signals and feedback, and the operating rhythm together into cohesive field and partner strategies and release narratives that drive adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Be the single front door for ABS launches. Own intake, triage, and sequencing on one ABS launch calendar and dependency register, so every material launch has one record of change, clear owners, and one route to the field.
- Land every launch as one package. Set the launch kit standard and own the monthly landing plan by role, segment, and partner, bringing together product facts, business model changes, and customer notice windows. Land major moments through MCAPS channels in phases.
- Own readiness, escalations, and communications. Consolidate readiness recommendations, risks, and escalations for go or no-go decision makers, and own marketing inputs to leader communications and NDA pre-briefs with MCAPS.
- Make partners ready on launch day. Build partners into every landing plan from intake, with named owners and calls to action, and give enablement teams an early view of upcoming launches.
- Turn launch signals into decisions. Define the signals that show whether a launch is ready and landing, from eligibility and cohort facts to product readiness, and bring senior leaders clear recommendations.
- Close the loop from market to roadmap. Capture field, partner, customer, and competitive insights across every launch, and turn them into recommendations on growth opportunities, investment priorities, and roadmap input, with owners and follow through.
- Run the launch rhythm and leadership readouts. Lead weekly working groups and senior launch reviews, keep the decision and risk log, and deliver a standard leadership brief on what changes, key dates, affected roles, open issues, and decisions needed.
- Raise the bar with every launch. Partner with senior leaders across marketing, sales, partner, finance, commerce, and legal to clarify decision rights and resolve blockers without adding an approval layer. Measure kit completeness, dependencies closed on time, reach and uptake, and feedback acted on, and evolve the operating model after every major moment.
