About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
About the Team
The Experience Library team is part of the Digital Marketing Technology organization at Salesforce. We build and own a content authoring and rendering platform that powers marketing pages across salesforce.com. Our platform enables marketing teams to create high-quality, localized, and performant web experiences at scale, powering some of the highest-traffic pages in the Salesforce digital ecosystem.
We work across the full stack with a strong frontend focus on building modular component libraries, WordPress integrations, and a robust rendering layer serving global audiences. We embrace a "you build it, you own it" culture, where engineers are responsible for the quality, performance, and reliability of what they ship, from design to deployment and beyond.
Our team is at an exciting inflection point: actively integrating AI into our engineering workflows, running accelerated innovation initiatives, and expanding internationalization support to new global markets.
The Experience
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Member of Technical Staff (LMTS) to serve as a technical leader and frontend-focused full-stack domain expert on the Page Builder platform. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end architectural design, engineering roadmap, and development of high-impact, enterprise-scale web capabilities powering salesforce.com.
As a technical leader, you will set the engineering standard for the team, foster a culture of technical excellence, drive AI-first workflow innovations, and play a pivotal role in mentoring engineers across the organization.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Architectural Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and deployment of complex, production-grade frontend and full-stack features for the Page Builder platform using modern web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, Web Components, and Node.js).
- Technical Vision & Strategy: Help drive the technical roadmap for web platform development within Digital Marketing Technology, with a focus on scalable authoring pipelines, component libraries, CMS architecture (WordPress/Contentful), and high-performance rendering engines.
- AI & Workflow Innovation: Drive a culture of technical innovation by researching, evaluating, and actively integrating generative AI services, pipelines, and engineering tools (e.g., Agentforce, Cursor, Claude, Codex, Slackbot) into development workflows to accelerate velocity and elevate quality.
- Scalability & Web Performance: Architect and maintain resilient, accessible, and performant web systems, optimizing Core Web Vitals, caching strategies, CDN configurations (e.g., Akamai), and global rendering infrastructure.
- End-to-End Ownership: Oversee feature delivery across the entire engineering lifecycle; from drafting architectural blueprints and technical specs to defining test strategies, monitoring production performance, and resolving complex scalability or reliability issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, AI Platform Engineers, Principal Engineers, and cross-functional teams to define requirements, decompose complex initiatives, manage dependencies, and deliver reusable workflows.
- Mentorship & Quality Standards: Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Drive code and design reviews, establish automated testing and CI/CD best practices, and actively mentor MTS and SMTS engineers through technical coaching and pair programming.
You're Our Person If...
- Experience: 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on large-scale, complex frontend and full-stack web applications.
- Frontend Mastery: Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/Sass/Tailwind, and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred; Web Components, Vue, or Angular).
- Backend & Node.js: Extensive experience with Node.js and building scalable backend/BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) architectures supporting client application rendering.
- CMS Architecture: Proven experience architecting and integrating enterprise Content Management Systems (particularly WordPress and/or Contentful) and designing dynamic CMS-driven frontend rendering pipelines.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Solid understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and experience deploying scalable, distributed frontend services, CDN edge caching, and build pipelines.
- API Design & Security: Deep knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL API design, web security best practices, and state management at enterprise scale.
- Test Automation & MLOps/DevOps: Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies and frameworks (Jest, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress) and modern deployment/monitoring practices.
- Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives, influence cross-functional roadmaps, troubleshoot complex production issues, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
Even Better If…
- AI-First Engineering: Practical experience integrating generative AI, LLM tools, or multi-agent workflows (e.g., Agentforce) directly into software engineering platforms.
- Internationalization: Hands-on experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) systems serving dynamic content across global regions.
- Design Systems: Proven experience building, maintaining, or contributing to enterprise-grade design systems or custom Web Components.
- CMS Platform Depth: Advanced familiarity with WordPress enterprise architectures, PHP development, or custom plugin/theme pipelines.
- Accessibility Standards: Deep experience building compliant web interfaces aligned with WCAG standards.
