Microsoft is on a mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Our culture is anchored on embracing a growth mindset, where anyone can change, learn, and grow. Four attributes allow this growth mindset to flourish: obsessing over what matters to our customers, becoming more diverse and inclusive in everything we do and create, operating as one company instead of multiple siloed businesses and lastly, making a difference in the lives of each other, our customers and the world around us. You can help us build our culture and achieve our mission.
Microsoft Frontier Company is a new line of business and one of the industry's first customer outcome-driven organizations, bringing together industry expertise, strategic partnerships and engineering as part of MCAPS. Its teams will work side-by-side with customers to co-design, deploy, and continuously improve AI systems that deliver measurable, customer-defined outcomes. The organization is built around end-to-end Frontier Transformation, helping customers turn AI into real, lasting business value. For those joining, it's a chance to help build a new growth engine for Microsoft and shape how the industry moves from delivering technology to delivering outcomes.
The Frontier Company GTM team needs an experienced, dynamic and creative Senior Communications Manager, Executive Communications. In this role, you will report to the GTM Senior Director and will be responsible for leading both external and internal communications for several executives on the Frontier Company leadership team. You will work directly with the execs, their Chiefs of Staff, and members of their leadership teams to drive business impact and thought leadership. This is a strategic role that provides significant opportunity for exec visibility, cross-team collaboration, a breadth of communication experience and business impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop communications strategy for several Frontier Company leaders and drive execution and scale of plans to deliver business impact and help increase FDE (Forward Deployment Engineer) pipeline.
- Develop core messaging and narrative to bring the Frontier Company purpose and business priorities to life through dynamic and proactive storytelling both internally and externally.
- Develop a strategic communications plan to drive the highest impact work.
- Demonstrate strategic leadership by driving impactful messaging for the business, aligning with the company mission, strategy, leadership principles and cultural attributes.
- Act as single-point-of-contact for any internal or external, speaking, traditional and social media requests for the leaders - partnering with appropriate teams to triage, check for alignment to strategy and team priorities and ensure that positioning and tone is appropriate for exec engagement.
- Create and align communications plans to RoB, business priorities and broader Frontier Company GTM plans.
- Drive and execute an orchestrated and thoughtful social media strategy for the leaders.
- Lead communications strategy and execution with a strategic, creative, and proactive approach, translating business priorities into clear, high-impact communications plans and deliverables.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute communications programs with grounded business judgment, operational rigor, and attention to detail in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Develop compelling written and verbal communications and narratives that make complex topics clear and accessible, tailoring messages and recommendations for a range of internal and external audiences.
- Apply knowledge of the technology industry, Microsoft strategy, products, services, and culture to ensure communications are relevant, credible, and aligned to broader company priorities.
- Independently manage competing priorities and evolving business needs, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and moving work forward effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Advise and influence senior stakeholders, advocating for communications recommendations, building a clear case for proposed approaches, and constructively challenging when needed to achieve the most impactful business outcome.
- Collaborate across teams and functions to build alignment, resolve dependencies, and independently drive communications work from strategy through execution.
- Navigate differing perspectives and priorities thoughtfully, resolving issues constructively and building trusted relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Develop and execute social media strategies that strengthen and amplify executive voices while ensuring content is authentic, relevant, and aligned to business and communications priorities.
