- Location: Waterford
- Start date: January 2027
- Duration: 6-8 months
- Work Model: Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week on site. Depending on project, training and business needs, additional on-site presence may sometimes be required.
About the job
As a Quality Excellence Intern, you’ll get hands-on experience supporting projects that help strengthen quality culture and continuous improvement across the site.
You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues on a variety of quality-focused activities, from improvement projects and quality systems to training and audit readiness. This is an opportunity to build your project, communication and problem-solving skills while gaining an understanding of how quality is embedded within a healthcare manufacturing environment.
You don’t need to already be a quality expert. We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive and keen to learn, who enjoys getting involved in projects and working with different people across the organisation.
Ready to grow your skills while helping shape the future of healthcare? At Sanofi, you’ll be empowered to learn, ask questions, and bring your ideas to life – all while supported by inspiring mentors and collaborative teams.
Main responsibilities:
- Support quality and continuous improvement projects, helping to coordinate activities, track actions and keep projects moving forward.
- Contribute to quality issue investigations by supporting root cause analysis and helping identify appropriate improvement and preventive actions.
- Work with production and other teams across the site to support process improvements and quality initiatives.
- Support the introduction and use of new quality systems, tools and ways of working.
- Help monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives, maintain project records and prepare progress updates for stakeholders.
- Support quality culture, training and audit-readiness activities, including helping to coordinate sessions and follow up on agreed actions.
- Prepare presentations, trackers, reports and other project materials, while proactively looking for opportunities to support the wider team.
About you
To excel in this role you will need to have:
- Be a current university student who will return to university after completing the internship.
- An interest in quality, continuous improvement and project work. Your field of study can be broad, and a specific scientific or quality-related discipline is not required.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take initiative, get involved and look for ways to contribute.
- Good communication skills and confidence working with and reaching out to different people across a team or organisation.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to manage tasks, follow up on actions and work on different activities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and willing to learn new systems and tools.
- A collaborative mindset, curiosity and willingness to ask questions, learn and seek support when needed.
