This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are seeking a Senior Life Sciences Solutions Architect to join our Healthcare and Life Sciences Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) Go to Market (GTM) organization. In this role, you will help define and drive our GTM strategy for life sciences customers and partners. As a senior solutions architect, you will be at the forefront of helping customers succeed using AWS technologies, linking technology with measurable business value for diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotech, and clinical research organizations.

As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon's unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon's real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions. Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.

In this role, you will partner with Business Development, Sales Specialists, and Product leadership to develop, accelerate, and sell current and new life sciences products, including AWS HealthOmics and Clinical Diagnostics services. You will lead technical engagement directly with customers to understand their business challenges in areas such as genomics, precision medicine, bioinformatics, and clinical diagnostics, then design and propose solutions and guide successful implementation. By establishing and growing business and technical relationships with customers and senior internal stakeholders, you will drive customer adoption and value realization of AWS solutions across the life sciences vertical. You will use this knowledge to influence the Product organization's roadmap, shaping new features and capabilities based on patterns you identify across customer engagements.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead technical engagement with life sciences customers alongside Business Development and Sales leaders, owning the technical strategy for key accounts to understand requirements, propose solutions, and address technical concerns specific to healthcare data security, regulatory compliance, and bioinformatics workflows
- Build and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept to showcase AWS capabilities to life sciences customers, including to VP and C-level audiences at pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, clinical research organizations, and diagnostics companies
- Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Marketing teams to define and execute go-to-market strategies for life sciences solutions, identifying scalable patterns across the customer base in genomics, precision medicine, and clinical diagnostics
- Collaborate with Product teams to influence the product roadmap for AWS HealthOmics, Clinical Diagnostics, and related services, advocating for new features based on synthesized customer feedback and market trends
- Establish and codify best practices and reusable technical assets within the AWS solutions architect community, mentoring other SAs on life sciences domain expertise
- Develop customer-facing technical content such as reference architectures, whitepapers, and implementation guides for life sciences use cases, including genomics pipelines, clinical data workflows, and precision medicine applications
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in the life sciences space, and proactively translate insights into GTM recommendations
- Support the growth of HealthOmics and Clinical Diagnostics services relationships by engaging with key systems integrators and industry partners in the life sciences sector
- Travel ~30% of the time to support customer engagements
