Overview

AI agents are transforming how work gets done—and creating new requirements for how organizations manage, govern, secure, and optimize them at scale. Microsoft Agent 365 brings these capabilities together in a unified control plane, helping customers move confidently from experimentation to enterprise-wide adoption. We are seeking a Director, Agent 365 Performance. This individual contributor will own the operating rhythm that brings leaders and functional teams together around priorities, decisions, blockers, and measurable outcomes. The role will consolidate business performance across the customer funnel, translate insights into accountable action, and optimize the cross-functional mechanisms that connect product, go-to-market, licensing, operations, and field execution. This candidate combines business judgment, analytical depth, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership. This candidate will create clarity in ambiguous environments, influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority, and driving measurable follow-through across interconnected workstreams.

The primary location for this position is Redmond, WA. Additionally, there are three other locations where this role may be based. Candidates who do not reside in one of these four areas will be relocated to Redmond.

  • Maintain clear records of decisions, owners, actions, dependencies, milestones, and unresolved issues, and ensure commitments receive consistent follow-through.
  • Connect decisions across executive forums and operating reviews so important issues move efficiently from insight to resolution.

Business insights, action planning, and customer journey optimization

  • Develop a consolidated view of business performance across the customer journey, including trials, activation, usage, conversion, deployment, retention, and expansion.
  • Partner with data and functional leaders to create a shared understanding of performance, customer needs, emerging opportunities, risks, and leading indicators.
  • Identify and diagnose friction across the customer journey, including product experience, licensing, sales motions, incentives, customer readiness, deployment, and adoption.
  • Translate insights into focused action plans with clear owners, milestones, target outcomes, and review points, and track progress against commitments.
  • Distinguish isolated issues from broader barriers and bring forward recommendations when leadership decisions or coordinated action are required.

Cross-functional business optimization

  • Serve as a strategic partner across Sales, go-to-market (GTM), Business Planning, Finance, Product Management, and Operations to improve overall business performance.
  • Bring together product, customer, and go-to-market perspectives to shape priorities and improve the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Drive coordinated resolution of issues such as licensing clarity, trial design, incentives, sales readiness, deployment friction, adoption, and expansion.
  • Clarify ownership and decision rights, establish effective working rhythms, and ensure leadership decisions are translated into functional plans and measurable actions.
  • Bring customer, sales, and partner feedback into product and business planning, and provide leaders with a clear view of business health, dependencies, risks, and recommended interventions.
