Citi is looking for a KYC Operations Analyst to play a key role in strengthening its Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, and regulatory reporting activities within the Compliance and Control team. In this position, you will help develop and manage Citi's internal Know Your Client (KYC) programme, working across teams to identify risk, ensure compliance, and protect the integrity of the firm and its clients. This is an opportunity to apply your KYC expertise at scale within one of the world's leading financial institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key areas of risk and control — including information security, business continuity, and records management — to maintain operational integrity across the KYC function.
  • Analyse risk exposures and associated controls to identify root causes, then collaborate with peers and management to present findings and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Partner with business managers and product staff to develop and execute plans within your area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with compliance standards.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and periodic risk and control reports for use across internal forums and governance discussions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance on KYC processes and compliance requirements.
  • Engage with Internal Audit and external audit teams to provide input on risk areas and potential legal liabilities, ensuring findings are clearly communicated and addressed.
  • Assess risk in day-to-day business decisions, escalating and managing control issues with transparency to protect the firm, its clients, and its assets.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Between 5-7 years of experience in KYC, AML, compliance, or a related financial services role.
  • Demonstrated ability to make well-informed, timely decisions in a regulated environment.
  • Track record of anticipating and responding effectively to business and client needs.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships across business regions and functions.
  • Comfortable operating with a degree of autonomy, exercising sound judgement and taking ownership of outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a KYC checker or reviewer capacity, with exposure to end-to-end client due diligence processes.
  • Subject matter expertise in KYC or AML gained through a specialist or advisory role.
  • ACAMS certification (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or equivalent professional qualification in financial crime compliance
