SAP ABAP Lead

About the Role

Join Accenture Thailand as an ABAP Manager and play a key role in helping organizations transform and optimize their SAP landscapes through Clean Core principles. In this leadership role, you will drive the design, development, and modernization of SAP ABAP solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with SAP best practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, solution architects, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality SAP solutions that accelerate business value while supporting long-term innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP ABAP solutions aligned with SAP Clean Core strategies and enterprise architecture standards.
• Manage and mentor ABAP development teams, providing technical leadership, coaching, and guidance throughout project delivery.
• Collaborate with solution architects, functional teams, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive application modernization initiatives, including code optimization, extension framework adoption, and automation of repeatable development processes.
• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, governance frameworks, security requirements, and quality assurance practices.
• Support solution planning activities, including effort estimation, resource planning, costing, and technical risk assessment.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity through reusable assets, accelerators, automation, and intelligent development approaches.
• Contribute to proposal development, solution design workshops, and strategic client engagements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and technical solution delivery.
• Strong expertise in SAP ABAP, including object-oriented programming, enhancements, integrations, reports, forms, workflows, and interfaces.
• Proven experience in SAP Solution Architecture and end-to-end SAP implementation or transformation programs.
• Experience leading development teams and managing technical workstreams in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core principles, extensibility approaches, and application lifecycle management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in Requirements Analysis and business process translation into technical solutions.
• Strong capabilities in Solution Planning, Costing, and Pricing activities.
• Advanced strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
• Experience driving process improvement and development automation initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional and technical teams.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Fiori, RAP, CDS Views, and modern SAP development frameworks.
• SAP certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA, or SAP BTP are an advantage.
