About the role
Original posting provided by amazon
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is the Amazon service for world-wide sellers that offers access to Amazon’s vast distribution network as a service. Sellers in 135 countries worldwide, from Fortune 50 companies to hundreds of thousands of small businesses and entrepreneurs, rely upon our world-leading technology to grow and thrive on Amazon’s Marketplaces.
In a very real way, we are changing lives with the work we do. Enabling seller success allows us to provide Amazon customers with unparalleled selection and pricing. FBA is a win for sellers and a win for customers.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, results-oriented Sr. Product Manager – Technical to lead and expand the worldwide FBA systems that shape how, where, when, what sellers ship to FBA. This is a rare opportunity to own one of Amazon's most impactful and technically sophisticated product platforms — one that directly influences billions of dollars in GMS, the experience of multiple sellers across various countries worldwide, and the operational efficiency of Amazon's global fulfillment network. In this role, you will drive the product strategy and roadmap for seller-facing products partnering across engineering, scientists, UX, Legal, data scientists and PR; develop internal optimization tools, and the science systems that power them. You will work at the frontier of marketplace design, supply chain science, and AI, building products that balance seller growth with network stability at global scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap by working backward from customer needs, leveraging direct customer engagement, market research, and data analysis to identify the highest-impact opportunities.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, science, finance, and operations teams to deliver products on time and at a high quality bar, making transparent trade-offs and aligning stakeholders along the way.
- Establish success criteria, KPIs, and metrics that distinguish between output metrics such as adoption and outcome metrics such as customer satisfaction and business impact, and use data to continuously inform prioritization and roadmap decisions.
- Evaluate technical proposals and participate in architecture discussions, probing scalability, performance, and trade-off implications to ensure product decisions account for long-term system health alongside near-term delivery.
- Identify opportunities to integrate generative AI and emerging technologies into product development workflows, accelerating learning cycles and unlocking new forms of innovation for customers.
A day in the life
You start by reviewing customer feedback and usage data to validate your latest hypothesis, then join a design review where you and your engineering partners iterate on a prototype. After lunch, you lead a product discussion with senior leaders to align on roadmap priorities, using a concise document you authored. Later, you connect with cross-functional partners in marketing and operations to prepare for an upcoming launch. Throughout, you balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving, ensuring every decision ties back to real customer value.
About the team
Our team is focused on building technical products that solve real customer problems at Amazon scale. We operate with a builder mentality, combining rigorous product thinking with a collaborative, inclusive culture where every voice matters. We are investing in AI-driven innovation and looking for product managers who want to shape what comes next. If you want to work alongside talented engineers, designers, and business partners while growing your career in a fast-moving environment, we would love to hear from you.
