DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Sr. Purchasing Coordinator and contribute to meaningful outcomes on a global scale. In this important role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of supplier purchase orders to ensure timely replenishment of inventory in our Distribution Centers and direct-to-customer shipments. As a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll resolve challenges, manage shipments, and provide excellent customer service.
You'll manage the complete purchase order lifecycle, from initial release through final receipt, while developing strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate crucial information flow. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, process priority orders, and maintain optimal inventory levels. Your role will be essential in supporting our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 1 year of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize work in a high-volume environment
• Customer-centric mindset with proven problem-solving abilities
• Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and address time-sensitive matters
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Experience with purchase order processing and inventory management
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Consistent record of meeting deadlines and service level agreements
• Adaptability and positive approach to change
• Knowledge of distribution and supply chain operations preferred
Compensation
The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $41,200.00–$61,750.00.About the company
