To support this evolution, we are seeking a Senior Adtech Publisher and Signal Lead to join Microsoft’s in-house paid social activation team and operations. The Senior Adtech Publisher and Signal Lead, is responsible for implementing and operationalizing publisher and signal capabilities across Microsoft’s paid media ecosystem. This role partners with AdTech engineering, media, measurement, privacy, audience, and publisher teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and coordinate integrations from implementation through deployment. The role supports multiple stakeholders to enable audience activation, conversion signals, and measurement capabilities across platforms including Meta, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising, Amazon, and emerging channels. The successful candidate combines proficient technical program management skills with an understanding of digital advertising platforms, APIs, audience activation, and signal integrations.

Responsibilities

 

The Senior Adtech Publisher and Signal Lead is responsible for the following:

 

Publisher & Signal Integration:

  • Support technical integration and onboarding of advertising and publisher platforms.
  • Translate business and media needs into technical requirements for audience, conversion, identity, signal, and measurement integrations.
  • Partner with engineering and publisher teams to implement APIs, server-side integrations, pixels, audience-sharing capabilities, and other signal technologies.
  • Support first-party, modeled, and account-based audience activation across paid media platforms.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and assess publisher/platform changes that may impact existing capabilities.
  • Capability Implementation & Deployment Coordinate implementation and deployment of new publisher, audience, signal, and measurement capabilities.
  • Manage requirements, dependencies, timelines, testing, validation, and production readiness across technical and business teams.
  • Partner with engineering teams to validate capabilities and resolve issues prior to production release.
  • Coordinate issue resolution and ensure blockers are addressed throughout implementation.
  • Support rollout and adoption of new capabilities across media teams, agencies, and business groups.
  • Documentation & Operational Support Develop and maintain technical requirements, integration guides, publisher playbooks, and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Document publisher-specific configurations, dependencies, technical requirements, and activation processes.
  • Support repeatable onboarding and deployment processes across publisher platforms.
  • Partner with stakeholders in engineering, media, privacy, measurement, and platform teams to ensure operational readiness. Identify opportunities to standardize processes, reduce manual effort, and improve integration reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 4+ years experience in media, marketing, or advertising on the client or agency side
    • OR equivalent experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in in Business, Advertising, Marketing, or  Communications related field AND 6+ years experience in media, marketing, or advertising on the client or agency side
    • OR equivalent experience.
  •  5+ years of experience in technical program management, AdTech, MarTech, digital media technology, or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience supporting technical integrations involving advertising platforms, APIs, data pipelines, audience systems, or signal technologies. Experience with major advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising, Amazon, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of digital advertising concepts including audiences, conversion tracking, measurement, identity, and signal activation.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical requirements and coordinating delivery with engineering teams.
  • Proficient project and program management skills, with experience managing cross-functional dependencies.
  • Proficient analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with server-side advertising integrations, conversion APIs, pixels, or audience APIs. Experience with commercial campaign activation and measurement (Converter experience a plus).
  • Hands-on experience coding in JavaScript and HTML to support tag implementation, troubleshooting, and advertising or marketing technology integrations.
  • TMS experience, preferably Adobe Launch.
  • Experience with CDPs, audience platforms, clean rooms, identity solutions, or customer data ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with APIs, authentication methods, data schemas, and server-to-server integrations.
  • Familiarity with cloud or data platforms such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or equivalent technologies.
  •  Understanding of privacy, consent, and data governance considerations within digital advertising. Experience supporting enterprise-scale marketing or advertising technology environments.
  • Success Measures Reduced publisher and capability onboarding time across consumer and commercial use cases. Improved reliability of audience and signal activation.
  • Faster deployment of new publisher and AdTech capabilities. Reduced integration and implementation issues.
  • Increased adoption of first-party audience and signal capabilities. Increased use of standardized integration and deployment processes.
  • Reduced manual effort required to onboard and support publisher integrations.


Media IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
