About the role

Our Customer Fulfillment network is world-class, delivering to customers across the globe. Our Finance teams don't just manage the books; we help steer the company by partnering with global, cross-functional teams to drive controllership, innovation, productivity, and cost-effective operations in a fast-paced environment. You'll use data to make sure your partners and leaders have the most reliable, up-to-date information, and you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with them to make the best possible financial decisions.
We are the Global Procurement Office (GPO) Finance team. We decide, with our partners, which third-party logistics (3PL) providers Amazon works with, on what terms, and at what cost, across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio. We are passionate about numbers and about turning them into insight that moves the business. We are the trusted business advisors who bring the holistic financial perspective to procurement and operations leaders.
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to own the finance lens on our North America 3PL network. You should be excited to join a company that is constantly re-imagining the logistics industry, passionate about using data to solve big, ambiguous problems, eager to keep learning, and attentive to the details that make the difference. If you want to help shape the new standard of fulfillment, come join GPO Finance.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the finance view of Amazon's North America 3PL spend: analyze cost drivers at a granular level (productivity by process path, labor, rent, capex) and link operational metrics to financial outcomes to surface cost-improvement opportunities.
- Lead the cost analysis within 3PL tenders, from should-cost modeling and RFQ evaluation to bid comparison, so Amazon secures competitive cost and service on every award.
- Benchmark relentlessly, 1P vs 3P, region vs region, site vs site, and use the gaps you find to drive decisions and savings.
- Communicate data clearly and concisely in writing and verbally, leading with the number, the driver, and the recommendation. Your communications drive critical business actions.
- Earn the trust of your business partners to influence tactical and strategic decisions that reduce cost and improve service.
- Identify risks, quantify their impact, propose changes, and implement improvements to close gaps, exercising sound judgment in ambiguous environments where data is hard to procure.
- Contribute to the WW finance toolkit (RFQ templates, cost models, databases) so the standard scales, and share knowledge to develop peers and teammates.
