Amazon's Devices & Services organization is expanding into new markets and facing a wave of new regulations, including the EU Cyber Resilience Act. We are looking for a Security Industry Specialist to help us stay ahead of these changes by building and scaling the compliance programs that earn customer trust for products like Kindle, Alexa, Echo, Fire Tablets, and Fire TV. In this role, you will work across security, engineering, legal, and business teams to assess control environments, design compliance frameworks grounded in standards like ISO 27001, and drive remediation strategies to completion. You will also help reshape how we work by contributing to an AI-first approach to compliance processes. If you thrive on solving complex compliance challenges across a global organization, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key job responsibilities
Design and drive scalable Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks that address security assurance requirements for Amazon devices across multiple regulated markets, including new certifications and labels as the product portfolio expands.
Assess and mitigate security compliance risks by developing remediation strategies, tracking issues to resolution, and escalating blockers with actionable recommendations for leadership.
Collaborate with engineering, legal, and business teams to translate evolving regulations such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act into control designs and compliance programs aligned with security audit frameworks like ISO 27001.
Represent Amazon in industry groups and with external regulators to understand and shape emerging compliance requirements before they impact the security and control environment.
Create repeatable process paths for security control design, testing, and validation that reduce duplicate effort and can be adopted by multiple teams across the organization.

A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing updates to an upcoming regulation and mapping its requirements against existing device certifications. Later, you could lead a working session with engineering and security partners to close a control gap, then prepare a compliance briefing for leadership. You will regularly engage with external auditors and industry peers, turning what you learn into practical guidance for internal teams. Mentoring colleagues and refining shared processes round out a day focused on protecting customers and enabling business growth.

About the team
The Devices & Services Compliance Team supports Amazon's consumer devices products, including Kindle, Alexa, Echo, Fire Tablets, and Fire TV, by setting a high security bar, ensuring regulatory compliance, and obtaining industry certifications. The team is investing in an AI-first redesign of its compliance processes and expanding its coverage as Amazon enters new markets and navigates new regulatory demands. You will join a collaborative group that values creative problem-solving and works closely with security, engineering, legal, and business partners worldwide.

Diverse Experiences
Amazon Security values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.
