Job Description
As part of the Global Medical Affairs Oncology team, you will report to the Scientific Communications Group Lead, Lung and help advance the organization’s vision to cure cancer. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering publication and scientific communication strategies for assigned oncology programs. Your work will support the accurate, timely, and compliant communication of scientific and medical data to external audiences while helping ensure a consistent scientific voice across communication channels. You will collaborate with colleagues across medical affairs, clinical development, outcomes research, and regional and local teams to align scientific communications with broader medical strategies. You will also contribute to the development of foundational scientific content, strengthen scientific exchange, and help drive high-quality publication practices across programs.
How You Will Contribute
- Develop and execute publication and scientific communication plans in partnership with cross-functional teams to support product medical strategies.
- Lead publication planning activities by coordinating content development, timelines, and stakeholder alignment across assigned programs.
- Review scientific publications and materials to ensure accuracy, scientific rigor, and compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
- Partner with authors and external experts to facilitate content development and support effective scientific communication.
- Oversee vendors and publication resources to support delivery of publication plans, budgets, and operational objectives.
- Develop scientific communication materials including presentations, training resources, and other medical affairs content.
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues on publication strategy, execution best practices, and good publication practices.
Qualifications
Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in a scientific discipline (preferred) or a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline plus commensurate long-term experience within pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- At least 5 years of healthcare or related experience, including 3 years of experience developing and executing medical publications within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical communications field.
- Knowledge of publication planning processes and industry publication standards, including good publication practices, authorship guidelines, and scientific reporting standards.
- Experience managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific and medical information.
- Experience managing external vendors, resources, or service providers to support program objectives.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical clinical development, clinical trial design, statistical methods, and clinical data reporting requirements.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional and geographically diverse teams and using publication management systems and standard business software applications.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel required

Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$169,400.00 - $266,200.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
