Job Description

About the Role

In this Associate Director level role, you will help ensure that important scientific evidence is translated into high-quality publications that support market access objectives and evidence dissemination efforts. You will play a key role in developing and executing publication strategies for assigned assets and programs, working closely with colleagues across Medical Affairs, Evidence Generation, and Global and Regional Market Access. Your work will contribute to the timely delivery of scientifically rigorous publications that communicate evidence in ways that are relevant to key audiences. You will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional environment that helps bring clinical and outcomes-related evidence to life through effective scientific publications and communication channels. You will also help advance innovative ways of working by applying digital channels and artificial intelligence-enabled tools that enhance publication quality, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.

How You Will Contribute

  • Develop and execute publication strategies that align with medical strategy, evidence-generation plans, and broader evidence dissemination objectives.
  • Lead publication planning and delivery by overseeing abstracts, manuscripts, congress presentations, plain language summaries, and publication team activities.
  • Partner across cross-functional teams to align priorities, timelines, and publication activities with internal stakeholders and external authors.
  • Ensure publication quality and compliance by supporting adherence to publication standards, authorship requirements, disclosure practices, and reporting guidelines.
  • Create reusable evidence resources by planning publications as foundational assets and supporting development of derivative content.
  • Apply digital and AI-enabled technologies to improve publication planning, visualization, workflow efficiency, and content development.
  • Monitor publication performance by tracking key measures and incorporating field, congress, and digital insights into publication plans.
  • Manage resources and execution by overseeing budgets, timelines, vendors, risk management activities, and mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or healthcare discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry or a closely related field, depending on degree level.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in scientific publications or publication planning within a global matrix environment.
  • Strong knowledge of drug development, clinical trial design, biostatistics principles, and clinical data reporting.
  • Knowledge of publication practices, authorship requirements, disclosure standards, and scientific reporting guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience making decisions within scope, identifying risks, developing solutions, and coaching or mentoring others.
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence-enabled tools and digital technologies within publications or scientific communications.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex data clearly.
