Summary

Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job, and there’s no telling what you could accomplish.

The AI & Data Platform (AiDP) team is building the foundational data products and GenAI capabilities that power knowledge discovery, conversational experiences, workflow automation, developer productivity, and more across Apple’s enterprise. Our mission is to increase productivity and efficiency across Apple’s Business Units — and data is the engine that makes it possible.

Description

As a Manager of Product Management, you will lead a team of product managers responsible for the data products that fuel our GenAI platform: the pipelines, integrations, knowledge graphs, and data services that connect Apple’s enterprise data landscape to generative AI. You will also drive the strategy for GenAI-enabled data capabilities — using AI to make data itself more discoverable, trustworthy, and actionable. Think of this as building the intelligent data foundation that turns enterprise knowledge into GenAI-ready assets at scale.

You and your team will partner with software engineers, program managers, data scientists, solution architects, and business units across Apple to build and manage a portfolio of data and AI products. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in product management and people leadership, strong technical fluency in data platforms and AI/ML, and the ability to think creatively about new product categories. You should be experienced in building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing PM teams, comfortable managing a large-scale portfolio, and skilled at navigating across organizational boundaries to influence strategy and drive decisions.

Responsibilities

Build, lead, and develop a team of product managers — setting a high bar for craft, coaching PMs through ambiguous problem spaces, and creating an environment where the team does the best work of their careers.
Define, build, launch, and land the next generation of enterprise data products that power Apple’s GenAI platform — including data ingestion, transformation, knowledge graphs, embeddings pipelines, and retrieval infrastructure.
Own the product strategy and roadmap for the data-to-GenAI stack: how enterprise data flows into AI models, how it’s curated for quality and relevance, and how GenAI capabilities feed back into the data platform.
Drive the vision for GenAI-enabled data products — using generative AI to improve data discovery, cataloging, lineage, governance, and self-service analytics across the enterprise.
Establish team operating rhythms, prioritization frameworks, and portfolio-level planning processes that keep a multi-product portfolio aligned and moving with urgency.
Partner with Apple Enterprise Teams to map customer journeys, use cases, and workflows — identifying where data gaps or quality issues constrain GenAI outcomes, and building products that close those gaps.
Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership to bring data and AI products to market, land them with internal customers, define and measure success, and feed learnings back into strategy and prioritization.
Engage executives, managers, and technologists on complex topics spanning data architecture, AI/ML infrastructure, and business transformation.
Recruit, retain, and grow top PM talent — building a diverse team with complementary strengths across technical depth, business acumen, and design thinking.
Research best-in-class industry approaches to modern data platforms (lakehouse architectures, unified data+AI stacks, semantic layers) to inform a world-class platform and experience.
Track product and team performance via KPIs covering data quality, pipeline reliability, GenAI accuracy, adoption, and end-to-end time-to-value.

Manage and prioritize roadmaps using OKR methodology across a large product portfolio
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels
A creative problem solver with an excellent ability to influence without authority

Preferred Qualifications
